"Greetings royalty." Chan bowed to his absolutely furious dad and uncle.

"Where is Seungmin and others? What do you think you are doing?!" The king of Cyrene yelled.

"Without wasting my time I just want to say a few words." Chan ignored their angered expression and demands for them to go back.

"I just want to say this from all of ours behalf that you guys disgust us. You killed our friends, killed countless citizens for a stupid fucking reason. Pretended to be arch enemies to stay in power. People like you are just losers."

"BANG CHAN!!"

"And listen this carefully, we will never forgive you and nor will the people. In a few hours, what will remain of your power will be ashes. You guys are like subhuman pieces of shit-"

"One more word and I will disown you!"

"- and before you disown me or my brothers, we respectfully ask to never associate us with people like you. We refuse to call you family. This is your end, goodbye."

Chan hanged up the video call and took a deep breath and walked out of the room, going to the washroom and closed the stall, gradually breaking down.

All he had ever wanted was peace, happiness and well being of others. All he had ever wanted was to live a life where he could call his cousins, his brothers over anytime without worrying about wars, a life where he could talk for hours with his bestfriend Minho.

He was refused of a normal childhood, he was betrayed, he was made to feel like crap, he was torn apart until he could no longer piece himself back.

It's so much darker when a light goes out than it would have been if it had never shone.

.

"Seungmin, do you want to catch a coffee together?"

Jaeun asked the boy, they had coincidentally came out of their rooms at the same time.

"Sure."

"Is Chan back?"

Seungmin shaked his head and sighed, "It's even more tough for him with all the responsibilities."

Jaeun nodded as they went to the café just outside their Suite.

"Are you okay, Seungmin?" Jaeun asked, caressing his hand once they had settled down and ordered their drinks.

"I think so."

That's when Jaeun noticed how tired Seungmin looked overall, that's when she realized how much he had to deal with in the past few days. Losing parents at an young age, Jaeun didn't had the slightest of idea about what it felt like when they betray you.

"Is it hard..?" She asked. " Going against your parents?"

"I don't know.." Seungmin admitted. "I haven't really had the time to think about what I felt doing all these, going against people I loved. I haven't thought about myself yet."

"If you want to talk about it..you know..I can listen to you." Jaeun said. "I may not be able to give any useful advice or anything but I can listen."

"It's just- I feel like whatever I believed , whomever I believed  my whole life turned out to be false." Seungmin said. "It's just hard to trust anyone now."

Jaeun thought for a while before speaking again.

"Not everyone lied to you , seungmin. Chan never did, Hyunjin never did, Jeongin never did and I never did. You know we will never leave you behind."

"Promise?"

"Promise." Jaeun smiled. "Also, is it okay if I ask you something?"

"Go ahead!" Seungmin said, sipping his coffee.

"So, you knew I hate you all along, right?"

"Yup! Channie Hyung told us about you before we went to visit the museum for the first time." Seungmin chuckled.

"Damn. If you were going to lie about your identity, why not choose a better name than Park Seungo" Jaeun laughed.

"Don't remind me about that!" Seungmin hid his face in embarrassment, "Jeongin just made that shit up out of nowhere."

"It was so weird!" Jaeun said honestly. "Also, I want to say that now I understand you all and I am really sorry for all those hurtful things I said in the past."

"It's okay , Jaeun." Seungmin smiled. "You had every right to say those words. I am , once again, really sorry for all the pain that my family made you go through."

"Are we leaving tomorrow?"

"I think so." Seungmin said. "Chan Hyung called and told that Cyrene and Mycenae will be under control soon."

"That's good!" Jaeun smiled. "After all, everything seemed to have paid off."

"Even though we seem so different, there's something similar about us." Seungmin said.

"What is it?"

" Even though we are two very different individuals, there was one thing we both wanted and it was to  live a life , a life free of the bloodshed, cries of the people they love and pain."

"Right..we can still try to do that." Jaeun mumbled. "Hey Seungmin, do you want to go to college together?!"

"Really!?" Seungmin exclaimed. "Are you sure about it?"

"Yes I am! It would be so fun to live a normal life for once!" Jaeun said with fascination in her eyes.

Seungmin giggled at her. He knew he had fallen for her for weeks now, the way she was got excited for small things .. it was a refreshing change from when she tried so hard to be stoic and cold.

"Hey Jaeun, I know this is not the appropriate time but I don't know if we will ever have the right circumstance and I don't want to regret this year s later so I have something to say."

"Oh?" Jaeun looked at Seungmin in anticipation.

His heart was beating so fast , he feared it might break out of him ribs.

He was scared to be vulnerable but one thing he was sure about was that Jaeun would never hurt him willingly and so he made himself vulnerable to her.

"I like you. I have liked you since the first time I saw you in the museum talking with Hyun."

"What?"

"I know this is a bit awkward and I am not expecting you to like me back or anything but I just didn't want to hide anything from you anymore because we are now friends."

"No wait-" Jaeun gasped. "You liked me all this while!?"

"Is it creepy if I say I actually love you?"

"I-uh i- Kim Seungmin! Who says things like these spontaneously??" Jaeun said in disbelief.

"I just couldn't stop myself." Seungmin said truthfully, he couldn't look at her in the eye.

"It's okay." Jaeun coughed to not let the awkwardness get the best of her. "I mean I kinda like you too.."

Seungmin looked up with wide eyes as Jaeun looked away, embarrassed.

"Don't expect too much. I don't know how to love, I don't know if I can be like others. " Jaeun said .

It was true, someone who had never been loved that well would need to learn how to love first.

"I don't care, Jaeun." Seungmin took her hands in his's. "As long as it's you."
