❝ he smiled and all I could think was: 'oh shit' ❞
Adonis woke the next morning, his head nestled in Onyx's lap. After he'd tucked him in, he was too tired to move up into his room. Turning his phone's alarm off, he stood softly running his hand through Onyx's hair.
Onyx groaned, clutching the pillow tighter to his chest.
"C'mon, wake up so we have time to grab Starbucks". Onyx's eyes widened jumping up, excited for their trip to Starbucks. Adonis didn't often allow them to eat fast food, saying home-cooked meals were cheaper and more 'nutritious' for them.
Adonis fixed up the bed, folding all the blankets and putting them back in their correct spots. He sighed, stretching. Heading towards the kitchen, he began to prepare Onyx's lunch.
His apartment was one of Adonis' most prized possessions, other than his fathers 1969 Ford Mustang Boss. He remembered when his parents had presented with the keys to his apartment on his 17th birthday, he didn't think much of it.
But after they passed away, he was proud he had somewhere safe where he and Onyx could live. It was a cozy, three-bedroom apartment that was tucked into a close with other students around the area that lived by themselves.
The area oozed with wealth. Expensive sports cars parked outside each apartment, butlers poised ready to serve their owners. Adonis rolled his eyes as he remembered how his neighbour had thrown a shoe at her butler when he forgot to refill the Chateau Lafite in her limousine.
Adonis didn't even know what that was.
"Addy, where are my dinosaur socks?", Onyx yelled from the bathroom.
Adonis frowned, "In the basket. Is your bag packed?", he asked, unloading the dishwasher. Onyx ran into the kitchen, skidding to a sudden stop shocking Adonis as he almost dropped the plate he was holding.
He cheekily smiled muttering a sorry as he saw the disapproving look Adonis gave him. "You're going to hurt yourself one day".
"But, you'll just be there to fix me", Onyx replied, hugging his legs. "You also smell Addy", he squealed, when Adonis lifted him into the air pressing his face into his armpit.
"Do I now?", Adonis grumbled, knowing Onyx was only joking. At least he hoped he was.
"Yes. Yes, you do", he laughed as Adonis began to tickle him.
"Say I don't smell and I'll stop", Adonis laughed along, moving to tickle Onyx's armpits.
Onyx laughed, his hands clutching at Adonis' hair. Adonis lost his grip and Onyx used that opportunity to slip out of his hold cackling as he ran to the living room.
"Goodbye", he squealed running off to the living room.
Adonis made sure all the windows and the front door was locked before he headed inside to have his shower. Onyx jumped on the couch, ready to watch his daily morning show; Bluey. 15 minutes later when Bluey was tucking himself into bed, Adonis appeared, showered and smell-free. He grabbed a puffer to wear over his jumper as he remembered how cold it'd been the previous day.
"Let's go buddy", he announced grabbing his car keys, double-checking whether the apartment had been left secure.

"This is for you dipshit", he grumbled shoving two bacon and egg wraps into Leon's hand.
"Thank you. You didn't have to", Leon said standing to place a kiss on Adonis's cheek. Adonis pushed him away in annoyance.
