— atticusAdonis groaned as he managed to conjure another poorly made swirl. "Fuck this", he murmured, dropping the piping bag onto the counter.
Thea sidled to him, gently placing her hands on top of his. "You're pressing too tight on the bag, which is why it's coming out so fast". Adonis wasn't even paying attention; all he could think about was how inviting her lips looked.
Noticing his heated gaze on her, Thea gently nudged him bringing his attention back to the task at hand.
"Why can't Leon just do this?" he groaned, dropping his head into her neck.
"No, I can't. Besides, I like watching you suffer", Leon laughed, cuddling with a sleeping Asher.
While Adonis was asleep, they had baked almost a thousand batches of different baked goods; cupcakes, brownies, cookies, you name it.
They had transformed his living room into an open space, the coffee table pushed against the wall plated with small finger foods, and soft music played from the speaker next to it. Stacks of presents were moved to sit against the wall and the middle of the room had been transformed into a pillow fort filled with blankets and throws.
"Start in the middle- Middle Adonis", Thea spoke, sending a slight glare. Fuck, she was hot.
"Fine, fine", he grumbled, starting in 'the middle' as she had asked. He tilted his head once he noticed it looked better than the last batch he had made.
"Does that look good?" he asked, turning to Thea and pulling her closer.
"It looks amazing, baby", she murmured against her lips, giving him a soft kiss. Adonis tried to hide the heat crawling up his cheeks, pressing a kiss to her cheek.
"Thanks for having faith in me".
A knock on the door pulled them out of their daydream, and he squeezed past Thea, moving to see who was at the door. Mila groaned in thanks when he opened the door, pushing past him in a flurry of bags.
"Hey, pretty girl".
"Hey, pretty boy".
"Honey, I'm home", she called out when Onyx ran out from the living room to hug her. Mila laughed, lifting him to pepper kisses all over his face.
"I missed you", Onyx laughed when he started tickling her. "Why didn't you tell Addy to let you visit?" she replied, sending Adonis a tight smile.
"Where's my hug?" Adonis questioned, sending a cheeky smile. Mila walked over to him, wrapping her arms around her tiny frame. She looked skinnier than the last time he saw her, and he made a mental note to talk to her.
Walking into the kitchen with Adonis trailing behind her, she smiled at a now sleeping Leon, his face pressed against Asher's chest, who wrapped a protective arm around him.
"They finally made it official".
"Yeah, it only took them three years".
Meanwhile, Thea stood behind the counter, nervously ripping the skin off her fingernails. Pretty girl, she thought silently, huffing to herself. She thought she was the only girl he called that. Her skin bristled in annoyance.
Hurriedly picking up the piping bag, once she heard footsteps nearing, she forced a smile, admittedly piping the icing too aggressively.
Once she finished what was left in the piping bag, she looked up, taking a look at the said 'pretty girl'. The face thing Thea noticed was her hair. Long and braided in jumbo box braids, which complimented her dark skin tone. Both sides of her nose were pieced, and a horseshoe sat in her septum. A slit was engraved into her eyebrow, and she almost swooned.
