"Isn't that Chaeyoung?"

Chaeyoung stopped eating and instinctively lifted her head at the sound of the familiar voice. It was Son Hana and her friends.

Chaeyoung nodded slightly in their direction as they made eye contact."Sis."

"What a coincidence." Hana raised her eyebrow. "No wonder Dad said he was unable to contact you these days; so turns out that you are in Jeju.."

Hana switched her gaze to the man sitting opposite Chaeyoung and noticed Jimin eating his dinner with JaeMin next to him. Her expression immediately changed into shock and confusion; she didn't expect for Jimin to be here with her. "Jimin, you're also here." She greeted him.

Jimin put down his cutlery and narrowed his eyes at the woman; looking at her as if he was judging her. "Who are you?"

Hana's face immediately turned sour, she didn't expect that Jimin would ask who she was. They had already met several times after all, and Chaeyoung just called her sis too. JaeMin turned his head to look at Hana too, but quickly turned away to continue eating.

She couldn't help but feel embarrassed. She coughed awkwardly and plastered
a sickly sweet smile on her face,
swallowing her embarrassment.

"I'm Chaeyoung's sister." She replied politely. "Jimin, we haven't seen each other in several years, I guess that's why you don't recognize me? In the past, we also..."

"Sorry, you must not have made a strong impression then." Jimin cut her off and pointed to her friends that were standing a little further away. "Your friends are waiting for you. You're not going?"

Originally Hana had planned to sit down, but because Jimin was being blatantly standoffish to her,she found herself unable to bring herself to join the family. She smiled back rigidly, her expression somewhat strained. "I will go then...let's chat again next time alright? How long are you staying here?"

"We'll stay here for a few more days."
Chaeyoung replied.

"That's good then. I'll see you around." Hana looked at Jimin again and nodded goodbye before going back to her friends.

Chaeyoung raised an eyebrow at Jimin who had already returned to eating, only looking up occasionally to check on JaeMin. He had acted excessively cold to Hana and Chaeyoung didn't really understand why.

"You met Hana for the first time four years ago and when you came to my house right?" Chaeyoung asked after Hana left.

Jimin raised his head and casted her an indifferent glance. He shrugged slightly before shoving another bite of food in his mouth. He swallowed before speaking again. "Unrelated person, why would I remember?"

"......." Chaeyoung wasn't sure how to respond to that; she felt speechless due to his forwardness.

Jimin had always been this kind of person.Cold and heartless.

Chaeyoung didn't say anything, she lowered her head and noticed there were a few slices of meat on her plate that weren't there before. She watched as Jimin sliced some more of his meat and put it on her plate.

"Don't you notice you are losing weight recently? Eat more."He smiled.

Chaeyoung could feel herself getting whiplash from Jimin's mood swings. She frowned at her plate. "I'm okay." She muttered, pushing the food around with her fork.

"No you're not... I could measure it for you too."."

She was about to ask what Jimin wanted to measure until she noticed his gaze on her chest. Chaeyoung gasped silently, glaring at Jimin. She felt her face go red as Jimin smirked at her playfully.

If JaeMin wasn't here with them she would have smashed a plate on his head.

"Pervert."

Chaeyoung stabbed a slice of meat with her fork and stuffed it into her mouth.

"Did you say something mom?" JaeMin looked up at her innocently.
He hadn't been paying attention to everyone around him while he was eating.

"No, nothing. Chimmy,be good and eat your dinner." Chaeyoung smiled awkwardly.

Jimin fixed his gaze on Chaeyoung's beautiful face, observing her pink blushing cheeks and soft pout. It caused a charming smile to involuntarily form on his lips.

Sitting not too far away from them, Hana observed the family eating dinner together closely. She frowned seeing the smile on Jimin's face; he was looking at Chaeyoung with a warm expression on his face. At this moment Hana felt rather confused and stupid.

She always thought that Chaeyoung would suffer being married to Jimin, and she did.The night after their wedding Jimin left her alone even though she was pregnant and didn't return for four years.

She heard that their relationship was never good and more or less nonexistent, so why was he sitting across her with a loving expression on his face and eating dinner together with their child like a normal happy family? Wasn't Jimin dating Kang Seulgi?

That time of the year, Son Family was in a tight spot financially. JungSeo wanted to have a connection with a company of higher status as he believed that it would ease his money troubles. Back then Hana already had a boyfriend so she was unwilling to become a pawn and be forced by JungSeo to get married. It was quite fortunate that JungSeo was more fond of her than Chaeyoung,so when she disagreed he didn't force her to marry.

JungSeo had finally gotten in contact with the Park family. She remembered feeling incredibly lucky that it wasn't here that was going to get married. But over time, her relationship with her boyfriend deteriorated and started becoming more and more bland. The passion of a new relationship eventually disappeared and resulted in endless fights. Eventually the two ended things and parted ways.

She had been in Jeju for a while.JungSeo helped her to meet another man, hoping she would marry into a wealthy family like The Parks.

But now that Hana was thinking about it, who would have better qualifications than Park Jimin?

The sudden realization hit her like a truck. The best man was already possessed by Chaeyoung, and it seemed like their relationship wasn't bad either. Hana huffed as she felt incredibly frustrated all the sudden. It wasn't meant to be this way.

"Mom, Auntie keeps on looking at us." JaeMin had already finished his meal, so he had noticed Hana's intense gaze on them as he looked around the restaurant in boredom. He made eye contact with Hana momentarily before turning back to Chaeyoung.

"Does Auntie have a problem?" He asked innocently.

"No, if she had any,she would come over." Chaeyoung smiled.

After they finished dinner, they talked for a bit.

"Where did you guys go this afternoon? Did you have fun?" Jimin turned to JaeMin.

JaeMin smiled and replied excitedly. "Yes Dad, we went to a lot of places,it was beautiful. Also mom let me buy gifts for my friends!" JaeMin held up the bag of gifts enthusiastically, showing Jimin the things he bought.

Jimin chuckled and stroked JaeMin's hair as they all talked for a little while longer.

Jimin called for the bill and paid for the dinner before lifting JaeMin into his arm, balancing him on one arm. He extended his free hand to Chaeyoung, grabbing her hand. "Let's go swimming."

They returned to their suites to grab their swim gear and some towels before heading up to the pool
The pool was only accessible by hotel guests. Fortunately at this time of the day there wasn't a lot of people; but even if there was,the pool was relatively large and could accommodate a large number of guests.

The placement of the pool created an illusion of a drop edge, so all you could see was the horizon of the ocean. Sitting on the top floor of the hotel building, the beautiful scenery was especially breathtaking.

JaeMin's eyes widened at the sight of the infinity pool. He tugged at Chaeyoung and Jimin's arms impatiently. "Let's go in now!"

Chaeyoung laughed softly. She enjoyed seeing JaeMin have fun especially since he rarely got the chance too.

"Let's go get changed."
