When Jimin was about to go to his room, he accidentally heard a conversation...

"When she gave birth that year...was it a girl or a boy? Are you certain that she was telling the truth about the baby being dead when she gave birth?"

"She told me that the baby was dead. I didn't check furthermore."

"Ever since that girl is dead, you never care about anything else. SeoYun is your wife but you can't even control her." JungMin stayed silent, not saying anything.

"If her family didn't come and beg back then, I wouldn't let her stay, she is nothing but an embarrassment." Grandma shook her head and sighed.
"I'm suspicious that her baby was not dead.Look at how she was staying to accompany that singer almost everyday!"

"Mom, do you mean that Seulgi is her..."

Grandma nodded. "SeoYun is too kind to her. It's so unlike her."

"I will check it as soon as possible."

"No wonder, the first time I saw her, my body was feeling uncomfortable. This could be the reason!" Grandma
slapped the table.

Jimin stood there in horror but he then continued walking to his room, wanting to check the truth himself.

"Jimin, you're home."

"Jagi, What are you doing still awake?" Jimin put his coat on the sofa then walked to her side of the bed and planted a soft kiss on her head. "You need to sleep, I'll take a shower."

"You've been drinking? You were not driving home yourself, right?" Chaeyoung asked as she could smell the alcohol under his breath.

"I'm not drunk, Jagi." Jimin undid his button on the cuff of his shirt."Sorry I wasn't really home for the past few days,we were busy handling some matters at the company but now it settled so Jin-hyung, Hoseok hyung, Taehyung and I were celebrating the new business deal."

Jimin smiled at her while loosen up his tie then leaned his head on the sofa while looking up at the ceiling.

"But you're not looking very happy, what's the matter? It looks like something's bothering you."

Jimin sighed, covering his face with his hands then looked at Chaeyoung. "I just overheard Grandma and dad's conversation. They talked about the possibility of Seulgi being mom's daughter. It doesn't make any sense if Seulgi is my mother's daughter, she wouldn't be so eager for us to be together..."

No, it couldn't be true. If Seulgi was SeoYun's daughter, that would make they're siblings then wouldn't it be incest!

Jimin went silent for a moment as Chaeyoung made her way to him and sat on the sofa. Jimin turned his face to looked at her. "Perhaps I'm not her son..."

"You could try to ask your dad or grandma about this? You're an adult, you have the right to know..."

"They wouldn't tell me. They already hid it from me all these years, they must have planned to keep it that way."

Jimin then held Chaeyoung's hand to let her know not to worry and he kissed it. "I will have someone to investigate."

"Okay." Chaeyoung said lightly.

These past few days Jimin was really busy, he went back and forth from one city to another. Chaeyoung knew even though he was busy for a business trip but he actually also went to check his own identity. He never went away for that long,he would be away for 2 nights at most.

Chaeyoung felt her body being dragged into a warm hug, she wasn't really asleep yet so she opened her eyes and hugged him back. She put her palm on his face as she noticed the look in his eyes.
