Unwanted Marriage

Chapter 78

Grandma looked up to see Jimin
entering the house alone,and with
a worried expression on his face.He
scanned the house quickly before
sighing.

At that point she knew
immediately that something must have happened between the two again.She frowned and approached him. "Where is Chaeyoung?"

"She still has things to do." Jimin lied, preparing to leave the house again. "If she comes back, please give me a call
Grandma."

"What did you do this time, Jimin?" Grandma shook her head. She was about to scold him again, but Jimin had already turned away and left the house.

She watched him leave and sighed helplessly. "When will he learn...Is it that hard for them to come to terms with their feelings? Young people are so complicated..."

"Don't worry Madame, Mister will understand sooner or later."The butler replied cautiously, escorting her back to the living room.

"I wish." Grandma replied. "I shouldn't meddle but look at how helpless he is..."

Chaeyoung entered the subway station and quickly jumped into the first train that arrived at the platform. She didn't know where this one was going, but she didn't care.

Chaeyoung didn't want to face this man right now, especially not after what he had just said. Chaeyoung sat down on a free seat and closed her eyes, gradually calming down.

She groaned as she realized she didn't
have her bag right now; she only
had her subway card and her phone.
As there was no money on her she
couldn't stay out long even if she
wanted to.

Chaeyoung pulled her phone out of her pocket only to see multiple missed
calls from Jimin. She ignored them and called dialed Lisa; she was the only one she could turn to right now.

Lisa could hear the distress in Chaeyoung's voice as she asked her to pick her up.  "Just wait for me there, I'll come now."

Lisa was the kind of girl who  would never leave the house without doing her makeup and wearing some nice clothes, but right now she was worried about Chaeyoung so she opted for a mask instead before running to pick her up.

"Hey." Lisa called from the car window as she saw Chaeyoung standing on the sidewalk. "Let's go."

Chaeyoung sighed in relief seeing Lisa's face and eagerly hopped into the car.

"You went to the hospital today,right?
To check on the baby...so, how was it?" Lisa started the conversation before she asked what she was doing in the subway.

"Yes, thankfully the baby is healthy." Chaeyoung said while smiling.

"What happened then?" Lisa asked, wondering what happened to make Chaeyoung look this sad. "Is it Jimin?"

Chaeyoung chuckled bitterly. "We got into another fight earlier..."

Lisa immediately took her mask off in annoyance. "What did he do this time?" She asked angrily.

Chaeyoung looked down, unsure of how to respond.

Lisa sighed and turned her attention
back to the road. "Forget about him,
let's go back to my place. We could
spend time together or you could
even spend the night. I bet Grandma
wouldn't mind, and if you're worried
about JaeMin, ask someone to drop him off at mine..." She suggested.

Lisa unlocked the door to the house and let Chaeyoung in. Seeing the condition of the place, Chaeyoung figured that Lisa definitely didn't do anything all day.  Actually,it seemed like she just woke up.
