Zelda made sure she had her papers together before she dialed her bosses number.
She wanted to make sure she was professional when she told her the theory.
"Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiing ring ring ring ring ring"
"hello, this is central square eco-business, you've reached the boss's office, how can I help you?"
The assistant enquired.
"Put me through to the boss, please"
Zelda requested.
"Tell her Zelda has the report she wanted"
Zelda heard a click and then her boss was on the phone
"how's my favorite employee?! I heard you have the report?"
"Yes,"
Zelda replied
"would you like me to tell you my theory?"
"No, that's alright, just send me your official report and I'll have the lawyers look at it, I'm sure it's great though. Well, if that's all set looks like you can come home!"
Zelda opened her mouth and managed a
"yes ma'am"
her boss said goodbye and quickly hung up.
To say Zelda was disappointed would be an understatement.
For the first time in a long while she was excited about her research, the thing she had gone to the city for, but to her boss, it was just business.
And besides, she hadn't realized how soon she would go back, back to her office in the gray city.
No grass, no cows, no milk and no Link. She gasped at the pain in her heart.
Why was this so much harder than she thought it would be?Suddenly, everything was real.
It was like a sheet had been pulled from her eyes, her feelings were finally uncovered."Oh my goddess, I love Link! I am majorly, totally, cow crazy in love with Link"
she realized. With a start she remembered he was coming over.
She wasn't sure what she should do now. She knew he cared about her, but was it as a friend or something more? She remembered the time in the kitchen when it seemed like maybe he was going to kiss her.
Maybe she was remembering it wrong. It was right after she saw him take off his shirt"why does he have to be so hot?"
she moaned, covering her face.
"I wonder if he thinks tonight is a date? I mean it might be? That's not what I was thinking but now I guess..."
Her words trailed off.
"I'll just have to see how tonight goes"
she finally decided
"I'll try to figure out how he feels"
she jumped at a knock on the door and rushed to answer it.
It was link.
He stood smiling in her doorway and Zelda couldn't help but smile back." Uh, These are for you"
he said, extending a bouquet of blue and white flowers
"silent princesses!"
Zelda exclaimed
"they were your favorite flower when you were little"
he said.
"They still are my favorite flower"
she replied, looking at him.
Even when I was little, I liked the way the blue made me think of your eyes, She thought.
