Chapter 2

I felt like my stomach and head were about to explode with pain. I heard Dimitri's family talking in Russian and then I heard an ambulance outside the restaurant.

"Di...mi...tri..?" I tried to talk but I was crying so much.
"Roza everything is going to be okay, we are going to the hospital." He then kissed my forehead and held my hand. We got on the ambulance and Dimitri never let go of my hand.

I passed out in the ambulance. Next thing I remember is that I'm in a white room with an injection up my arm. Dimitri was fast asleep near me. What time was it then? Where was the doctor? I started coughing a lot and Dimitri woke up and called for the doctor.

"медсестра!" Dimitri called out.
"What did you say?" I asked him.
"I called out for the nurse."
A tall,slim lady walked in with blond hair and glasses. She was a dhampir. I'm guessing she was my nurse.
"Hello Rose,My name is Dr. Abramov and I will be you're nurse today." She said with a thick russian accent and with a smile.
"I don't understand,why am I in the hospital? I only fainted."
"You didn't just faint,when you passed out in the restaurant you started shivering and then you burst out crying and woke up.." Dimitri said.
I stared at him wishing I could get up and hug him.

"I took a blood sample and ran some tests I'll just go and get the papers." Dr. Abramov left the room.
"Dimitri what day is it?" It was night time.
"This is you're second day in the hospital Rose.."
Dr. Abramov walked in again with a paper.

"I actually have really exciting news for you and Dimitri, Rose."
"What's wrong?" Dimitri and I asked at the same time.
"Well Rose... You're pregnant!!"
"WHAT? But that's impossible for two dhampirs!"
Dimitri just stayed there in shock but in his eyes I could tell that he was happy.

"We took a blood test for Dimitri aswell to make sure everything was okay, and it turns out when Dimitri was well... a... Strigoi .... he was 100% an undead vampire, but when Queen Vasilisa staked his heart with spirit, yes indeed he did turn back into a dhampir but for some reason he was not half and half... He was more vampire than human because he is 20% human and 80% Moroi and you two are the very first dhampirs in the vampire world that can have children!"

I burst out crying, they were tears of joy. I jumped out of the bed and hugged Dimitri so tight and kissed him so much.
But then Dimitri let go and put his hand on his stake.
"Stay here Rose."
"Why what's..."
That's when i realized.

There was Strigoi in the hospital.
