Chapter 19

We had finally arrived back at Court. Lissa wanted to stay at the Academy for around a week with the lack of blood, she was weak, very weak. I was really missing my girls.

When we got back I didn't have time to go back to my room, Lissa had ordered every guardian that helped her to dinner immediately and every Royal.

We were in the meeting room, where we sometimes used it for special occasions.

Lissa was in the middle of the table, while me and Dimitri were beside her. She rose from her chair and smiled at everyone, she then started to speak.

"Attention! I'm back in Court and I'm so happy to be back. Being in a den of Strigoi is horrifying. I witnessed them feeding off of small animals, humans and their own kind! It was scary. When I caught a different smell of our kind, I knew it was dhampirs to protect me and kill all of the Strigoi that had captured me. The first person to catch my eye was Rose. She killed as many as she could, she ran to me and saved me. I was weak and pale from the bites. Mostly, I couldn't use my Spirit." She said to everyone.

The chefs came in and started handing our food to everyone.

I dug in and looked over to Dimitri, who was chatting away to Alberta and Mikhail.

I want to see my girls.

I felt a light tap on my shoulder and turned around. There I saw Eddie holding Rozalina and Robyn, with a giant smile plastered on his face.

Dimitri turned around and smiled at us both. He took Rozalina and I took Robyn. She really is starting to look like me whike Rozalina really looks a lot like Dimitri.

"Can I hold her?" Lissa asked me. I nodded lightly and let her take Robyn out of my arms.

She rocked her a little and smiled at her and me. Robyn had her eyes wide open and was looking at Lissa like she was some kind of god, which made me laugh.

When we finished eating, dessert came. Chocolate cake.

Eddie had offered to take Robyn and Rozalina for a nap. While he took them I just sat there between everyone's conversations and just stayed silent.

Lissa got up again and gestured me to get up with her.

"Guardian Hathaway is getting married soon to Guardian Belikov, we need to show our appreciation to her and the stuff she does. Everyone congratulate her and for becoming a new mother!" Lissa cheered, and everyone started clapping and saying congratulations to me.

Dimitri stood by me and held my hand. He pressed his lips to my forehead, making me smile.

My life is just getting even more better.
