Chapter 9

I put my black boots on super quick and went to the hospital wing in the Royal Court as fast as I could with Eddie. When we arrived I ran to the receptionist.

"Excuse me madame, Guardian Belikov came in here. I need to see him." I said fast.
"He is in Room 13."
"Thank you!" I ran to Room 13, and the door was shut. I knocked lightly, in then a doctor opened the door.

"Excuse me, it is not visiting hours yet."
"He is my fiancée so you have to let me see him!"
"Roza?" Dimitri said lightly. I pushed the doctor and went near Dimitri.
"What happened?"
"I was on guard duty for a little, and my leg twisted and I fell, then there was a piece of sharp glass and it went directly into my ankle." He looked really tired.
"He broke his leg and we will soon need to take the glass out, so Guardian Hathaway may you please leave and wait in the waiting area." The doctor told me. I then looked at Dimitri.
"Go." Dimitri said with smile. I then kissed him and left.

I went and got tea from a machine, I then got some jelly babies from another machine. I sat back down on my seat an waited. Finally the door opened and the doctor told me I could come in. I saw that Dimitri's leg was all stitched up and it was covered with bandages. The glass must of been a huge piece. I walked up to him and realized he was asleep.

"Thank you Doctor." I said quietly.
"No worries Rose."

I grabbed a chair that was in a corner and sat near Dimitri, holding his hand. He was cold.

"Doctor? Do you have any blankets?"
"In that cupboard over there." I took a really soft and fuzzy blanket. I opened it and wrapped it around Dimitri. He then woke up.

"Come near me Roza." He said quietly. He moved a bit and let me have some space. He then put the blanket on both of us. I then fell asleep on a hospital bed. I woke up with Dimitri getting off the bed with the doctor helping him. Dimitri then got up and grabbed his crutches.

"When can he leave doctor?" I asked when I got out of the bed and stayed near Dimitri.
"Now actually. He needs to get dressed." The doctor handed Dimitri's clothes to me then left the room. I closed the curtains and helped Dimitri get dressed. He sat back down on the bed. I took his hospital top off and looked at his stomach. I then took my eyes off his abs and looked at his eyes. Sparks were flying. I then grabbed his shirt and helped him put it on. Now it was the trousers part. God help me. I took them off and looked at his leg. His foot was swollen and purple. I then grabbed his baggy trousers and helped him put them on. He was really stuggling on his left foot. When we were done I helped him get up. He then grabbed his crutches. I kissed him.

"What was that for?" He said smiling.
"To show you how much I love you."

I opened the door and we were headed to our room. Lissa came up to us. She was happy. Really happy.
"Get well soon Dimitri! Thank goodness I found you and hadn't left you in that state!"
"Thank you Queen." He said with a smile.
"Liss can I talk to you quickly? She nodded.
"I won't be long." I told Dimitri and he sat down to the nearest chair.
"Why are you so happy?"
"I just did something unforgettable with Christian."
"Well I'm leaving cause I don't want to know." I hugged her and left to help lift Dimitri up.

We arrived at our room. I made Dimitri walk in first. When we got in I closed the door and took my jacket off. Dimitri went to the living room and turned on the T.V.

"Comrade? Are you okay?"
"Come here Roza." I went near him and sat on the couch and snuggled up with him.
"Is your stomach okay Roza?" I looked at him surprised.
"Yes.. Why?"
"No reason at all, just wondering."
"Well it's night time for us.. So I'm going to sleep."
"Wait Roza.. Tomorrow the guardians are supposed to go and help with the Strigoi attack, yet I can't go." I completely forgot about the attack.
"It's better than getting yourself killed Dimitri." I then kissed him and went into bed. He continued to watch T.V.

*** 1 1/2 weeks later ***

I was doing the same boring assignments at the Court, Dimitri had to stay home while still recovering, the guardians came back from the attack and did really well because only 1 guardian died but it was still sad. And I had my pregnancy check-up today! I was one month into my pregnancy already and my stomach was already showing through my shirts.

I went to my room to get Dimitri so we could go to the hospital wing.
"Dimitri you ready?" He nodded and we left, we were walking in silence. The only sound of our footsteps and the sound of his crutches.

When we arrived I told the receptionist for Dr.Abramov. A few minutes later we were in the hospital room, me laying on the bed.

"Right Rose we are going to check on the baby like last time." She then lifted my top and her eyes looked like they would almost pop out if her head.
"My,my Rose, your stomach has grown.... Way to quick!"
"Is that bad?"
"I actually don't have an answer to that, I need more test results. You have to stay here for the night or two Rose." Dr.Abramov said very fast. She then left the room.
"Dimitri? Im scared."
"Don't be Roza." He then sat on the bed and hugged me. I was getting really worried now. Dr.Abramov then walked in with papers and injections. She didn't even talk. She arranged the injection and stuck it up my arm roughly. She was taking some blood for tests.

"You bitch that hurt!" I shouted at her now.
"We have to hurry." She said. I then felt dizzy and passed out.

I woke up with Dimitri asleep near me, on my bed. I shook Dimitri and he woke up instantly.
"Dr.Abramov!" Dimitri shouted.
"Rose your awake! Well it is Sunday night.." She said.
"Well basically I know why and how your stomach has grown so quick!"
"How?!" Me and Dimitri shouted at the same time.

"Your babies are developing quickly because they are full dhampirs! Rose you only have around 2/3 months until they arrive!"
