What’s wrong?” Scarlet Moth turns around frantically when he hears Catalyst cough.

She falls to the ground and he runs over to her, “nothing, everything’s fine,” she manages to say in between coughs, “keep going-”

He doesn’t listen to her, it’s clear that she isn’t fine, “dark wings fall.”

The whole façade falls, Catalyst is Nathalie, Scarlet Moth is Gabriel, and all of the akuma's Scarlet Moth had sent out are useless but he couldn't care less about those. He cradles her waist and has another hand behind her head holding it up.

“Nathalie!” he calls out to her. His voice feels distant as if he is running away from her instead of being by her side.

“Nat..lie,” his voice goes in and out as she struggles to keep her eyes open until she finally succumbs to the heavy feeling. Her world goes black and silent.

Gabriel picks up her and sets her in a guest room bed. He calls a doctor, not as though they will be much help, regular doctors will never be able to cure the side effects of the miraculous, he knows that all too well.

“What happened?” the doctor asks Gabriel as she walks into the room where Gabriel was waiting, rather impatiently, in an armchair.

“She passed out,” Gabriel says plainly.

“I can see that much, I’m going to need more information than that,” the doctor tells him.

“We have been busy these past few days,” Gabriel tries, “I told her not to work so hard.”

“Yes, well, give her this when she is feeling a little better,” the doctor says, holding out a brown paper bag to Gabriel, “and make sure she gets proper rest.”

Gabriel nods, “of course, thank you, doctor,” and allows Gorilla to escort her out of the mansion. He knows he is going to have to try harder to get Nathalie to rest because he can't do this again.

“Perhaps you can still take advantage of the chaos that Lila Rossi has reeked,” Nathalie’s voice is weak and it pains him that she is just waking up and still thinking about the miraculous and their goal.

“That plan is pointless without,” Gabriel points out, he needs her to rest, and he wants an excuse to be near her.

“You’re right. Then I have to…” Nathalie tries to stand up but her body proves too weak as she collapses back into the chair. Gabriel is glad because he was going to get her back in the chair whether he would have to strap her down to it or come up with another way.

“There will be no more Catalyst, or Mayura, I warned you,” he says and takes the miraculous from the spot on her chest, “using a broken miraculous ends up breaking its wearer. The wounds on the miraculous are becoming your wounds.”

“I don't care, Gabriel,” of course she didn't, Nathalie was stubborn, it was her best trait and worst flaw, she would get whatever she wanted one way or another, and right now he was wishing she wouldn't, “I want to help you.”

“Not at that cost. Never at that cost again.”

There is a silence that overcomes them as he takes a seat in a nearby chair, he doesn't plan to let her out of his sight.

“What's in the bag?” Nathalie asks, pointing to the paper bag that Gabriel set on the table beside them.

“I don't know, the doctor told me to give it to you when you have a little more energy. I assume a different medication to try.”

Nathalie manages to grab it and opens it, her face reflects the horror inside.

“What is it?” Gabriel asks, Nathalie’s expression worried him more.
