An extra drink wasn’t supposed to get her into this situation. It was that one drink that changed her life forever. Now, she lays in the arms of Gabriel Agreste, to start at the beginning was painful but she couldn’t discredit the role it played in getting her to where she was.

~~~~~~
She had been wearing a short royal blue dress, she had blamed it on that fact for too long, with red heels. Surprisingly, Gabriel had agreed to attend the event as well, she was very thankful this was the case. He didn’t want to stray far from her side, still feeling uncomfortable being out in public.
Nathalie was the stupid one who parted from his side. She had insisted he would’ve been fine if she left for a minute to grab a drink from the bar. He would be fine, she would not.
She doesn’t remember the drink she ordered, the one she had planned to sip next to Gabriel, she did remember ordering a shot of vodka and throwing it back. She remembers being about to head back before someone stepped in front of her path.
“Don’t bother, he’s a married man,” the man explains, “I on the other hand am available for whatever you desire.”
“I’m well aware of my boss’ marital status, thank you,” Nathalie says before trying to step around the male blocking her path but he steps to the side and blocks her again.
“You can’t be that Nathalie whoever, she’s dull, you’re exciting,” he says.
“I have no clue who you are, I assume you don’t know me, and with that, I would like to get back to Mr. Agreste,” Nathalie says, trying once again to push her way around him.
“Just one drink together,” he begs.
Nathalie knows better, yet she agrees in hopes of getting him off her back.
“Also, you’re better than that martini,” he says observing the drinks in her hand, “let me order you something special.”
Nathalie rolls her eyes, “sure,” she had already made it this far, what was the harm in letting him choose a drink. Well, perhaps it really wasn’t the drink that screwed her over, but rather what was in the drink, or what wasn’t supposed to be in the drink that he added to it.
“Trevor,” he says, handing her the drink.
“What?” Nathalie asks, taking a small sip, she should’ve stopped but there wasn’t a taste difference in the alcohol.
“That’s my name,” he explains, “you said you didn’t know me, so I figured I’d introduce myself. So do I get to know your name, beautiful?”
“I told you my name is Nathalie,” she says before taking another sip of her drink.
Trevor doubts this fact because ignoring the red strand that stands out in the raven sea of hair, the assistant and the woman he has in front of him are entirely different but he really doesn’t care who she is.
Nathalie finishes the rest of her drink, she can’t stand being in this conversation any longer. She wants to leave and she hopes Gabriel wants her to come back.
“I need to-” her mind is hazy and he smiles as he kisses her and she doesn’t feel like she has enough control of her body to push him away.
“You need to come with me,” Trevor tells her, “I know you want it, darling.”
Nathalie can’t even hear properly, the words don’t register in her head, she can’t think straight, and she isn’t in the right place to reject the notion.
Trevor takes her hand and slowly starts to guide her away from the venue. It’s annoying as she stumbles her way through the venue. Though he has definitely had less comprehensible girls, girls who responded quickly to the sedative he would mix into their drinks, who were almost passed out before he even started to have his fun.
