"I cannot believe you're making me do this." Lindsey growls as he ties the tie around his neck. It was his favorite tie, the blue plaid one, and he had it over a Navy Blue button down shirt and a pair of Gray pants.

"Oh relax, it's just a stupid dinner." Robin rolls her eyes. Robin was his baby sister. She was 35 years old and she was still as nuissance-e as she was when they were little. She and her husband had gone to a fund raising event-Kim Anderson was a well known Advertising Exec- and there was a fifty-fifty raffle. Warner Brothers had donated a dinner date with either 1) Don Henley, 2) Stevie Nicks, 3) Beyonce, 4) Jay-Z, 5) Taylor Swift, or  6) Harry Styles. Robin filled out the card with her name and phone number, but she filled it out for Stevie Nicks.

Stevie Nicks was a legend. Everyone knew who she was, not everyone was a fan, Lindsey was not, but everyone knew who she was and she had so much influence in the music industry having been famous since she was fifteen years old. Now, twenty years later she was a living legend and Robin figured what the hell. It had been six years since Lindsey lost his wife to a heart condition that he was so thankful that their daughter, Stella hadn't inherited. But she was thirteen now, and she really did need another woman's influence so even if he wasn't going to start a relationship with Stevie Nicks-she was engaged to Don Henley-it could get his feet wet, get him back into the dating pool.

"Dad, Stevie Nicks is a legend...this is like totally awesome and you should really get a picture for me."Stella said from her spot on Lindsey's bed. She had been bouncing on it patiently watching her father and her aunt fuss over Lindsey's outfit of the night.

"No, I'm not getting you a picture and I can't believe you're okay with this." Lindsey rolls his eyes.

"You'll be the coolest teacher at Santa Monica High." She tries, Lindsey taught Government-Econ, Civics, A.P US History and Government. He was also the Quiz Bowl coach.

"I don't like this at all." Lindsey sighs as Robin straightens his tie and fixes his salt and pepper curls.

"You'll be fine. It's just 3 hours with a Living Rock Star at the restaurant of her choosing. Speaking of, I think your car just pulled up outside." Robin looks out the window of his bedroom.

He groans out loud. and Stella laughs before bounding out of the room and down the stairs. They lived in a two bedroom two and a half bath townhome and while it wasn't Lindsey's favorite place to live, it was close to the school and he had a private garage.

"Take care of her Robin." Lindsey sighs.

"I always do...we'll be waiting up for you when you get back." Robin winks.

"Okay."

The only reason Stevie agreed to go on this date was because Don had done it. She figured if her fiancé could do it, she could do it. Don wasn't happy about it, and he especially wasn't happy when they found out that Stevie's name had been written down on the card that was pulled out of the fishbowl. So he had fled the house, not wanting to see her get ready for a date without him, and she was getting ready by herself. She really didn't want to go, but it was for charity so at least there was that.

She had chosen a silvery champagne colored dress. It fell to her mid thigh and it was a silky shimmery fabric. It had a v-neck, long sleeves, and a belt that tied around her waist. She tightened the bow of the belt and fluffed out her hair, she had left it down straight and it fell about her mid back. She swiped ruby red lipstick on and slid her feet into a pair of dark red scrappy platform sandals, grabbed her purse and headed out the door.

Arriving at the restaurant, BOA Steakhouse, Stevie was escorted out of her car, usually she had an entourage with her, but she had given them the night off and made her way inside. She told the materdee, what she was there for and he nodded letting her know that her date for the night was already there. He brought her back to a private corner in the resteraunt and she narrowed her eyes when she saw the man fidgeting at the table.
