They had been in their new home together for a little over four months and Lindsey was actually enjoying it. He liked having the pool at his disposal whenever he wanted, and he loved the area they were in. They were only ten minutes away from the school, even though school was over for the summer, and it was a really nice neighborhood. Lindsey and Stella finally met Stevie's family, and they hit it off right away which made Stevie announcing their engagement go over a little well. Not to mention, they managed to make their house beautiful even though both of their styles and likes and interests were so different.
The wall in the entry way had a little console table that was light brown and white. Stevie had put a buddha statue on it and a gold mirror shaped like a sun. As you walked into the living area the navy blue couch they had chosen was front and center with a white and gold coffee table in front of it. Then they had white and navy blue leopard printed accent chairs. Two on each side with a gold and white end table between them. In the corner of the living room there was a navy blue love seat with a matching ottoman. They had a white TV Stand and a giant flatscreen TV. And on the third wall was Lindsey's record collection. Behind the couch, was a gold and white table but the gold looked like little DNA loops. She had placed a blue Tiffany lamp on that table and several candles. The coffee table had some gold vases and fake flowers on it. Over the loveseat she put a faux rabbit fur blanket and over the actual sofa she placed a yellow-gold colored throw. The throw pillows were also faux rabbit fur and they were only on the sofa and one of the leopard print chairs.
The dining room was painted a light gray to match the gray dining table that Lindsey picked out. Stevie topped it off by choosing black quilted dining room chairs. At the bar in the kitchen were three white stools. The half bath downstairs was painted a navy blue and to add a little bit more storage space Lindsey had hung up a honeycomb shaped shelf on the wall. Stevie put a wicker basket full of toilet paper, a candle, a fake cactus, a small hour glass, and a bathroom spray air-freshener.
The master upstairs was painted a tan color. Stevie and Lindsey both miraculously agreed on a king sized bed set. It was a brown panel bed with a headboard and a footboard. It had two matching nightstands, a matching six drawer dresser for their bedroom which they had put a television on. And even though it wasn't going to be in their actual bedroom it had a matching vanity for Stevie. By the fireplace in the little sitting area, Stevie had chosen a burgundy chaise lounger and two Mandela patterned accent chairs. They colors in the chair were burgundy, tan, and gold because Stevie really liked gold. Their bedspread was also gold and burgundy Mandela patterned and they had chosen two sheet sets, a burgundy color and a tan color.
Stella had gotten a full sized white sleigh bed with matching nightstands, and because she didn't have a walk in closet, two dressers, one had a giant mirror on it. She painted the walls a dark gray color and got a white bedspread with pink and gray flowers on it.
But now they weren't at their house, they were in Paris. Stevie was embarking on a world tour to promote the album that she put out in the fall of 2011. The album that her duet with Don Henley resides on to be exact. Lindsey and Stella weren't staying with her for the whole tour, but Stevie wanted them with her on her 37th birthday, so they were in Paris. Getting ready to leave Paris to be exact. They had spent a week there. Stella got to experience the Eiffel Tower and the Le Louvre. They had gone to the south of France for a couple of days and gone to the beach, and Stevie and Lindsey spent a very passionate love filled night on her birthday, Karen having taken Stella to a garden exhibit that allowed people to stay in the Garden under the stars over night.
"I'm going to miss you all so much." Stevie sighs when they get to the airport.
"We're going to miss you too." Lindsey smiles giving her a kiss and a hug goodbye.
"You better call every day and don't forget to get me some souvenirs." Stella points out going into Stevie's arms to give her a hug.
"What kind of Souvenirs? T-shirts?" Stevie giggles lightly squeezing her tightly.
"Surprise me." Stella smiles.
"Okay, I'll surprise you. Be good for daddy alright?" Stevie asks.
"Aren't I always?" Stella replies.
Stevie just hits her back lightly and then they pull away. "Alright, Robin is meeting you at the airport right?"
"Yeah she'll be there." Lindsey nods hugging Stevie again.
"I love you, I'll see you soon alright." Stevie whispers into his chest.
"Counting the days."
"And when I get home, we can start planning the wedding." Stevie tells him.
"Yes, See you in August?"
"August. I'll call you." Stevie kisses him as their flight is called.
She waves to them as they leave the tarmac and then when she's in the car with Karen on her way to rehearsal she just pouts.
"What's the matter?" Karen inquires.
"I miss them already."
"It's been like 5 minutes." Karen scoffs.
"Karen, I don't know how this is possible, but the two of them are my whole entire world." Stevie shrugs.
"You love them."
"I do, I really, really do love them. It's almost like Stella's my own you know."
"Well, she does need a mom and you're doing pretty good with her."
"I hope it stays that way." Stevie sighs.
"It will, she loves you." Karen assures her.
