Lindsey's alarm clock went off and Stevie groaned loudly. Lindsey shut it off and looked at her sleepily. "You don't have to come."

"No, we're doing a potluck breakfast for your team. I didn't get to do it last year and I am so mad at myself for that." Stevie shakes her head.

"I was the one that broke up with you," Lindsey replies.

"We're doing this whether you like it or not." Stevie explains struggling to get herself up and out of bed.

Lindsey's Quiz Bowl team was going to the state competition for the second year in a row. Stevie wasn't going with them because she was so close to having a baby, but she was bound and determined to do a big potluck breakfast before they headed off in celebration. Stevie curled her hair and dressed in a black long sleeve bodysuit and a pair of army green sweatpants and she put on a pair of black ankle booties and then she gathered what she needed and the three of them headed to the school.

Stevie was whipping up some pancakes on a griddle and they had muffins and donuts. There was fresh fruit and juice. Yogurt, granola bars, and the day prior while she was locked in the house doing nothing, she made little mini quiches.

The kids were practicing and having fun and Stevie and Lindsey were absolutely enjoying themselves when Robin popped it.

"There's my people!" She cheers.

"Hi Robin." Stevie smiles.

"Oooh, what do we got?" Robin scours the food.

"Um, fruit and yogurt. I'm on my fourth round of pancakes, muffins, donuts, and these are little mini quiches. I made them yesterday this one has ham and cheese. This one is sausage bacon, and cheese." Stevie points out.

"I swear, on her self imposed pregnancy isolation, all she does is cook." Lindsey rolls his eyes.

"You like it." Stevie points out.

"But I'm putting on a few pounds." He pouts popping another quiche into his mouth.

"It's baby weight." Robin pokes at Lindsey's stomach.

Robin makes a plate and starts interacting with the kids as Lindsey's substitute walks in. Stevie overs him food and then Lindsey conferences with him and before they know it, they're at the bus getting ready to board.

"Alright, you are going to do great. I love you so much." Stevie wraps Stella in a hug.

"I love you too...Hey little sis, no coming out until I get home." Stella addresses Stevie's stomach.

"She's not going anywhere." Stevie assures.

"Alright, I'll call you when we get there..."

"No, call me right before you bored the plane, call me when you land and get settled into the hotel, and then you better text me updates all day tomorrow." Stevie looks at him.

"Alright, just don't go into labor."

"I'm not going to go into labor. I love you."

After Stevie left the school she found herself in rehearsals for her Grammy's performance, and then when she felt ready she headed home to spend the weekend nesting. She was going to wash the baby's clothes again and she was going to get them set up in the nursery. She was going to check and re-check her hospital bag and then she was going to settle in and watch trashy television. The first thing she saw when she turned on her trashy television was an advertisement for the grammy's. She new immediately that she was the surprise performance. But what shocked her was the fact that Don was performing as well. She knew he was also nominated for song of the year, and it was honestly kind of intimidating.

Stevie's heart was pounding as she stood there in front of the platform. Karen was fussing with her dress, it was flowy, but it was tight enough to give a clear few of her stomach, especially because the way she was starting on the platform was turned to the side. It was off the shoulder and it had a twist detailing at the bodice. It was a pewter gray color because it was the closest they could get to silver.

"I'm nervous." Stevie admitted.

"You never get nervous." Lindsey shakes his head.

"I'm usually not nine months pregnant." She sighs.

"You'll be fine, and we're going to be right on the side stage you can look at us if you need to. But you look gorgeous, you're glowing, and this is going to be great." Lindsey assured her pulling her into his arms.

"Alright, we've gotta get you on the platform." Karen tells her.

She gulps and nods and very carefully she steps up and gets into her pose with her microphone. The way it was choreographed, is she'd rise up on the platform and then she'd turn and carefully walk down the stairs and place her microphone on the stand. She wasn't dancing, she wasn't moving, she was just going to stand there and sing her song because she didn't want to tempt fate.

As soon as she showed up on the stage and people saw her giant stomach screams and shouts were heard throughout the auditorium. And as she sang, her right hand found the underside of her stomach where her little girl was kicking up a storm and she thought it was the best feeling in the world. The night was even better though, when Stevie Nicks' Silver Springs, beat out Don Henley's Heart of the Matter. The category was announced right after she performed so she was side stage and the camera's zoomed in on her as she kissed Lindsey and hugged Stella.

When she got to the microphone, she cleared her throat. "Um, I didn't think I was going to win this tonight...but it honestly kind of feels great. I won this category last year with a song that was good, but had lost its meaning. But this year, this song is special to me and I am so glad I got to share it with you. And thank you to Lindsey...this song was written about you, for you, you are the reason I got this Grammy tonight. And thank you so much for this." With that she ended by caressing her stomach.
