Lindsey will admit that Stevie looked absolutely incredible. He felt like a fish out of water, but she was stunning in a black sleeveless, A-Line dress. It had a very plunging neckline and he watched as Karen taped her boobs into the dress so she din't have a slip up. There was a ribbon wrapped around the waist and the overlay was chiffon with a floral appliqué. She had on gold high heels and a gold shawl for warmth, even though he knew that eventually she'd end up wearing his suit jacket that she had custom made for him.

She was posing for the camera's and he was there just as her 'arm candy'. He was smiling and standing stiff and still like he was told. She was using him to pose shifting from side to side, wrapping an arm around him. Wrapping both arms around him. Using him as an elbow rest. She was having the time of her life and he was just there. But as out of place as he felt he was just happy to see her glowing the way she was.

"Stevie whose your date?" Someone shouted at her. Stevie didn't answer, she just took Lindsey's chin and kissed him. At first he was surprised but he eventually started kissing her back and the crowd went nuts.

Lindsey was forced to watch as she and Don sang their duet, but if it was possible, she looked even more gorgeous in her performance dress which was a tight fitting sequin one shoulder dress with a low back and a slit up to her hip. She had opted to stay in that dress after the performance and was sitting next to him squeezing his hand tightly as her category was announced.

"And the winner for the best song is Stevie Nicks and Don Henley Leather and Lace."

"You won! You won!" Lindsey cheers as they stand up.

"I won, I can't believe that I won." Stevie shakes her head as Lindsey smiles and kisses her sweetly before she climbs over him to walk up the stage.

She meets Don halfway and they share a quick peck and Lindsey has to advert his eyes. Don's speech is geared towards Stevie and how much he loves her for letting him be apart of the song, but Stevie talks about the academy itself and the fans.

When they get back to the hotel, Stevie and Lindsey celebrate by making love into the night, only for them to be woken up by Karen not an hour later to get ready for the Today show.

"I don't want to go." Stevie whines rolling off of Lindsey onto her back.

"I know you don't but you have too. And as soon as you're done, we can come back here and we can sleep."

"But we're in New York don't you want to do something?" Stevie looks at him.

"I want to do whatever you want to do." Lindsey tells.

"Go engagement ring shopping?"

"In New York...is that smart? There's like paparazzi on every street corner."

"Even better. Let the world know."

"I can't afford to get you a big ring." Lindsey shakes his head.

"I can buy it."

"But isn't the point for the man to buy the woman an engagement ring?"

"Lindsey..." Stevie trails off.

"Alright, fine...but go, get up and get ready." He rolls over and starts pushing on her with his feet.

"Lindsey." Stevie says coming out of the bathroom of her dressing room.

"Yeah?" he asks.

"Will you zip me?" She inquires turning around in front of him. She was wearing a blush colored tight body con dress with long sleeves.

"Absolutely...so what am I going to do be doing while you're being interviewed?"

"You are going to stand side stage by Karen." She points to her assistant who gave a saluting motion with her hand.

"Well alright then."

It wasn't long before Lindsey found himself standing side stage watching Don and Stevie, first sing their grammy winning song together, and second sit very close to each other on a couch.

"So I want to start off by saying, Stevie...you wrote Leather and Lace for Don...Then Don wrote Heart of the Matter for you...and now you wrote Silver Springs for Don...so how come you two aren't together. I know there was a scandal we won't talk about, but you seem to be over that."

"I didn't write, Silver Springs for Don...don't get me wrong, I'm so grateful for everything Don has done for me, I mean without him, I don't know if I would have ever won a grammy. But I wrote Silver Springs for a man named Lindsey. I had to go on this Celebrity date auction thing back in July. Lindsey's sister had put his name in for me he just so happened to be drawn. That was the night that I found out about THAT scandal. Lindsey had three hours with me and he let me leave after an hour. I wanted to compensate him for the time we missed so I offered to join him at a work party. Lindsey and I just clicked. We started talking to each other and eventually seeing each other and he helped pick up the pieces. We had broken up so to speak, around the Holidays because he thought I deserved better than him. I was more hurt by Lindsey breaking up with me than when Don and I ended our relationship. It felt like I couldn't function without him in my life and we hadn't known each other for that long. It was like half of me was gone. So I wrote that song...I know I could have loved you, but you would not let me...He's a teacher, and I flew to his school's competition because I couldn't be away from him anymore. He's actually here with me now. Silver Springs is Lindsey's song and I'll forever stand by that."

Lindsey could not believe she actually said that, but it caused a smile to break out onto his face. Now it was official, she had announced a relationship with him and he was absolutely thrilled.
