Lindsey jolted when he felt a pillow hit his butt. He looked to his right, as he was sleeping on his stomach on his side of the bed, when he saw Stevie. She looked exhausted, wearing a pair of navy blue silk pants and a white teeshirt tucked into it.

"What's the matter?" He asks knowing full well that she wasn't supposed to be there.

"I just got back from Australia for a private, and my realtor wants to take us on a house tour." Stevie sighs sitting on the edge of the bed.

"I was going to say, you look exhausted."

"I'm jet legged. But we have to be there in an hour." Stevie huffs.

"Well, go get Stella up, and I'll hop in the shower." Lindsey rubs her back lightly.

As they pulled up to the house, Stella's mouth was agape in shock. The driveway was massive. As soon as you pulled in to the right there was a two car garage. On top of the garage, there was a little outdoor seating area. and straight ahead was a double glass door. The  exterior of the house itself was white stucco and the windows and trims were black.

As they walked in the house was empt and the walls were white and bare but it was a nice space. The staIR case was immediately to the right and then there was a wall on the left. If you walk in a little further there was a coat closet on the left wall. Where the wall ended an arch way appeared net to a column and another arch way. The first arch way led to a living area.

In the living area, there was a half bathroom where the coat closet would've ended. The living area had a fireplace function as a barrier between the living area and the kitchen dining room combination. The far wall was floor to ceiling windows and a set of French doors that led to the back yard.

The kitchen had white marble countertops and white cupboard with stainless steel appliances. There was a double oven and an extra large stove top. Even the fridge looked like it was custom made for the kitchen as it was bigger than the fridge in Lindsey's townhome.

They ventured into the backyard and as soon as Lindsey saw the pool he turned to Stevie. "I want that."

"What the pool?" Stevie inquires.

"My dad used to swim competitively. He swims every chance he can during the summer." Stella jumps in.

"Good to know." Stevie smirks grabbing Lindsey's chin and kissing him quickly.

Upstairs, the master suite was where the garage was. The room was halfway on top  of the garage and opened up into the little outdoor seating area. There was a fire place and a little sitting area within the master bedroom. The master closets - both walk ins - were through the bathroom. They had a Jacuzzi tub and a giant shower.

The four other bedrooms, were smaller  than the master and then there was three other bathrooms upstairs.

"Typically we'd have it staged, but it just became available and I know that you're high priority."

"No, I don't need it staged...I like this house. What do you two think?" Stevie looks at Stella and Lindsey.

They had ended the tour in the second biggest bedroom after the master, and Stella looked around the room and spun around. "As long as this room is mine."

"I think that could be arranged." Stevie nodded as Stella went right into her arms for a quick hug.

"So what do you say?" The realtor looks at them.

"I think we'd like to put in a full priced offer." Stevie looks at Lindsey a smile on her face. He just chuckles and wraps his arm around her. Lindsey wanted to burn that moment into his head. Stella was still wrapped in Stevie's arms and  Lindsey had wrapped his arms around Stevie and kissed her head.

After taking a long nap, Stevie was up making dinner. Stella was doing her homework and Lindsey was watching a documentary about elephants, when Stevie's cellphone rang. She stopped stirring the sauce she was making and cleared her throat, "Hello."

Lindsey muted the television and Stella looked up from her homework. Stevie cheered and muttered a few thank yous and then she hung up and looked at Stella and Lindsey.

"We got the house...we close tomorrow."

"The banks aren't open tomorrow to get a mortgage." Lindsey shakes his head.

"I'm going to write a check. The promise of cash payment is what sold it. Tomorrow I think we should go look at maybe getting some furniture after we sign you know."

"Sure. Are we really doing this? We're buying a house together."

"We get to be a proper family." Stevie smiles.

"Can I design my room?" Stella inquires.

"Of course you can." Lindsey chuckles.

Lindsey didn't understand the concept of picking out furniture. He hated doing it with his first wife, and he hated it just as much now. He couldn't grasp the concept of fabrics, color swatches, none of it. All he knew, was that Stevie and Stella were in heaven as they trailed around the furniture store.

"Lindsey..." Stevie calls out to him as she and Stella are standing in front of a table set.

"Stevie?"

"How do you feel about gold?"

"In what context?"

"Well, we picked out the navy blue sofa. I figure if we leave the walls in the living room white we could accent it with gold tables." She steps aside to show him what she's looking at.

"Well I don't think it's real gold..."

"No, obviously not, but what are your thoughts?"

"Steph, it's that what you want I'm more than happy to have gold plated furniture." Lindsey tells her.

"It's your house too though so I want you to have some..."

"I like this Dining room table." He points to the table he had been staring at since they walked into the stupid store.

"So we'll get this dining room table." Stevie smiles walking over to him and wrapping her arms around his neck giving him a quick peck.
