Treating me only as a friend, that is not what I want

- signal, twice -

ー ❀ ー

( you guys are so sweet and funny,
here some headpats (>ω<(• •') )

you might be a delinquent, a troublemaker, a naughty student - but behind all that, you have a huge crush on the famous vice president. whenever you see her, be it during gym class or when she's walking down the hallway, she never failed to impress you with her beauty. although she never intended to do so, your little heart jumped with joy everytime she's talking to you.

her honeyed voice is simply a music to your ears that you could listen to any day without complaining. her fashion sense is something that you looked up to. her sweet yet elegant scent is your drug - a drug that can make you instantly forget about your bad day. her excellent performance in school is what you admired about her.

the strange thing is being with her gave you a familiar feeling - a feeling that was long forgotten. you weren't sure what's the actual case. is this what it felt like to be in love? you thought. if it is, then does this wave of nostalgia is considered a part of it too?

"earth to y/n!"

you flinched as you heard the voice and looked to the owner, it was yoimiya.

"oh, sorry miya. did you say something? i wasn't paying attention."

yoimiya squinted her eyes on you and raised her hand to touch your forehead.

"hmm, no fever..."

"i don't have a fever at the first place." you said, taking her hand away from your forehead.

"that's a relief then. i was worried since you zoned out for such a long time." she said bluntly while looking at you with a concerned expression.

"are you sure you're not sick?" she asked again and you responded by shaking your head at her.

"you don't have to worry about me, miya. i'm not a child anymore."

"hey, don't blame me! we grew up together and i'm used to treat you like my little sibling. now that we've separated by different classes, i can't watch you like i used to anymore."

"aww, aren't you a sweet and caring sister?" with the height advantage, you took the chance to pat her head, causing yoimiya to shot you a glare.

you and yoimiya grew up together since you both were like five years old. one night at some festival, you noticed her playing with sparkler sticks and wanted to play together but you were too shy. not until she approached you herself with her usual grin, giving you a sparkler stick and you spent the whole festival with her after.

you never see her again afterwards until you entered school and to your surprise, you were in the same class as her along with itto. you have made a myriad of memories with them. everywhere you go, they will make sure to come with you. you were known to be careless back then thus itto and yoimiya took the role as your brother and sister so you truly love them from the bottom of your heart.

"oh! as i was saying, i'd like your opinion on the fireworks. is this too much? i think it's a bit too much...i'm not sure." yoimiya sighed while frowning at the fireworks she prepared. there were a couple stacks of boxes, each one with different sizes and designs.

"both the president and vice president loves the fireworks. this is perfect already." you answered, giving her a smile.

"oh, really? how did you know?"

suddenly your smile dropped, not knowing how to answer her question. the familiar feeling surrounded your mind once again. you didn't know where it came from. one thing that you noticed was that it happened everytime you're talking about ei and yae.

this weird feeling again...

"t-the vice president told me that one time." you looked to the side, avoiding her gaze.

"y/n, did you know that your ears become red when you lie?" yoimiya said as she suspiciously eyed you.

"eh?! i'm not lying! i promise!"

"sure. hello little red ears~"

you hid your ears in embarrassment behind your palms. yoimiya on the other side was laughing so hard that she had to catch her breath before continuing to speak.

"hahaha! i'm sorry, your face looks so priceless. well, whatever it is! i do trust your opinion. thank you, y/n!" she thanked you and pat your shoulder.

you sighed in relief as you bid goodbye to her. currently you're walking near the field. some of the students were setting up a huge stage in the middle of it. grand was the first thing that slipped into your mind as you took a glance at the stage. it was decorated with red and gold colours. a few ornaments were placed to make it less spacious.

then you entered the school building to check on the first class. noises could be heard as you got closer. some of them were painting the decorations outside the class. some were arranging the tables and... oh, books? you got curious on what they were planning to do so you asked kokomi, your close companion from there.

"we agreed to do a library cafe kind of thing where people could enjoy a relaxing time reading. i can't wait to spend my time here honestly haha~!" she answered while giving you an eye smile.

"aren't you supposed to serve the visitors?" you asked but she only replied with a wink and went back to her business, acting as if she didn't hear anything.

you shrugged it off and leaned towards the door, searching for your pink-haired beauty but couldn't spot her. you gave up and was about to walk away until someone tapped your shoulder.

"excuse me, it's illegal to spy on other classes during the preparation period." you turned your head to look at the female voice's owner.

"p-president?!"

you quickly straightened up your back as you greeted her with a slight bow. sweats were running down your forehead because you barely speak to her, more like never. sometimes you would mentioned her name when you're with yae but truth to be told, you never really had a conversation with her. let's just say this was your first official encounter with the student council's president.

"may i ask what business do you have here? why are you not helping in your class right now?" ei asked.

although she was merely asking, you can't help but felt slightly intimidated by her aura. it wasn't scary, but it wasn't friendly either. her deep voice sent shivers down to your spine, causing you to gulp.

"i actually... was about to leave! yeah! s-see you, bye!"

"wait - "

before you could stepped away, ei was the first to hold your arm and stopped you from walking away.

"mind accompanying me somewhere? it wouldn't take much time, i hope so."

you were shocked at her request. it didn't sound like she was asking it because you were available, no. to you, it seemed like she was specifically asking for you to help her. the request also sounded like a serious matter so you decided to ask her the details.

"hmm, what can i say? jealousy, perhaps. i tried to comfort her in many ways but apparently it's not working. i think it's better if you comfort her yourself~"

( okok i promise you'll see yae on the next chapter heheee take care everyone and don't forget to stay hydrated! )
