When Dipper woke up, he felt strangely cold and what he could only describe as floaty. He opened his eyes and saw that everything around him had a weird blueish tint to it.

He looked around and saw a flash of gold.

"You're awake! Oh thank the kraken himself!" A voice exclaimed. Dipper blinked a couple times, hoping to make his vision less blurry. When he opened his eyes he saw Bill, but something wasn't right.

Bill was in his siren form.

Dipper looked around again and realized something.

"Are we...under water?" Dipper asked, surprised that his voice even worked.

"Yeah, after Ford stabbed you, you fell into the water and passed out from blood loss. I treated your wound down here." Bill said.

"But how am I even breathing? Let alone talking?" Dipper asked.

"I used my power on you. It won't last forever, but for now, you have gills on your neck, simular to mine." Bill said. Dipper unconsciously reached up and felt the strange slits on his neck that allowed him to breathe under water.

"How long will they last?" Dipper asked.

"A week? Maybe a bit longer." Bill said.

"And my wound?" Dipper asked, looking down to his side, finding it wrapped in what seemed to be part of his pants.

"It's healing, not as fast as I'd like, but you aren't dying anymore." Bill said. Dipper nodded.

"What do we do now?" Dipper asked.

"Honestly? I don't know. I can't open the shell yet because this collar is still around my neck, if it wasn't I could have healed you a bit better." Bill said.

"So we should work on getting that collar off." Dipper said. Bill nodded. Dipper gestured for Bill to come closer. Bill swam over to him.

Dipper examined the collar. It was locked around Bill's neck by the back, where there was a small keyhole.

"I can try and pick this, but I don't know that I have anything to pick it with." Dipper said.

"I might have something back at my...at my cave." Bill said, pausing for a moment.

"Cave? Like your house?" Dipper asked.

"Yeah, in a sense. My original home was destroyed by Ford, but I was able to salvage some of my things and move them to a safer location.  It's not far from here." Bill said. He seemed hesitant for some reason, like he was hiding something, though Dipper could tell that whatever he was hiding, it wasn't anything malicious.

"Ok, lead the way." Dipper said. Bill nodded, hesitantly.

He took Dipper's hand, which made Dipper blush.

Then Bill began to swim fast, practically dragging Dipper along with him.

Dipper was so amazed by the sight of the ocean floor, he hardly noticed when they arrived.

Bill had slowed to a stop in front of a large rock formation, surrounded by lots of different ocean plants. If Dipper didn't know that it was Bill's house, he would have just passed by it. It was so inconspicuous that Dipper would have likely passed right by it.

"We're here..." Bill said, nerve evident in his voice.

"What's wrong Bill?" Dipper asked.

"Well...it's um...." Bill fumbled, "It's fine. Maybe he's not here..."
