Dipper walked up to the door cautiously and pressed his ear against the door, doing his best to stay silent and identify the voices.

"-Listen, Bill, all you have to do is tell me where you hid it. I will release you if you tell me." A familiar voice said.

"Sorry Fordsie, I can't tell you. I'm not leaving here without what is mine." Bill said.

"I already told you why I can't give you it," Ford said.

"I promise I won't kill you and everyone else on this ship if you give it to me," Bill said.

"I know your tricks, Bill. Tell me where you hid it." Ford said. Dipper could hear his impatience.

"Hmmm, naw, I think I'm good. Maybe you should ask me later." Bill responded casually.

Dipper heard what sounded like glass breaking.

"I've had it up to here with you demon! I'll find your weakness!" Ford yelled.

Bill laughed.

"You might want to quiet down. You wouldn't want unwanted eavesdroppers to hear." Bill said. Dipper froze. Bill must've known he was here.

"And if there were any unwanted eavesdroppers I would suggest they leave now. You know, if there were any, anyway." Bill said.

Dipper knew Bill was talking directly to him. He quickly and quietly made his way back upstairs. He would have to wait until Ford left to talk to Bill.

On the main deck, Dipper ran into Mabel.

"Hey Bro Bro, long time no talk. Have you been avoiding me?" Mabel asked.

"No, it's just been a bit crazy since we got the siren on board," Dipper said.

"Didn't we get the siren, like, a day ago?" Mabel asked.

"Well yeah, but with the Siren showing up and Ford coming back a lot has happened," Dipper said. Mabel shrugged.

"True, buuuut that doesn't give you an excuse to not hang out with your best sister Dip Dop," Mabel said.

"Mabel, you're my only sister." Dipper pointed out.

"Yeah, which makes me your best sister," Mabel said.

"And that would also make you my worst sister," Dipper added. Mabel rolled her eyes.

"So!? Just let me have this bro-bro!" Mabel said. Dipper laughed lightly.

"Not in a million years loser." Dipper joked. Mabel shoved her brother playfully and the two of them laughed.

"So, you got to see the siren up close, what's it like?" Mabel asked.

"He's...interesting. He seems to know everything. Like...he was able to read my mind or something." Dipper started.

"Wait, read your mind? You talked to it?" Mabel asked.

"Yeah. He woke up before I could get Ford. So I talked to him for a minute... and again earlier today. He just...I don't know, he's interesting. I was trying to get answers about the shell. I don't think it's just a shell." Dipper said.

"Well yeah, it's magic. It's definitely more than just a shell. Oooo! What if it's like, part of the sirens soul or something! That would be cool." Mabel said. Dipper pulled the shell out from under his shirt and examined it in his palm.

Since he had spoken Bill's name in front of the shell the shell had changed slightly. It still held its same shape but now it had a more golden yellow color to it. It had what looked to be an eye etched into the surface of one side of the shell. It had the long oval with the pointed ends, stick-like eyelashes coming out of it, and a slit in the center instead of a pupil.
