If Bill was being honest, he wasn't entirely sure how to even get on the ship unnoticed.
Sure, he had the vague idea of a plan, but he didn't really put that much thought into it. Normally things just go his way, and if they didn't, he never really had anything to lose, now he did have something to lose, and his something was swimming beside him trying to see if there is a hatch in the side of the ship they could slip in to.
"It's useless, the only way on this ship is to go up on deck." Bill's 'something' also known as Pinetree, also also known as Dipper, said with a sigh.
Dipper turned to Bill, his brown hair floating in the water around him in a way that made Bill's heart beat a little faster.
Bill wished he could have left Dipper out of all of this, this whole mess of things was technically his fault, or his and Ford's anyway. He didn't want Dipper to get hurt. But Bill knew the spell he cast on Dipper to allow him to breathe underwater would wear off soon, and Bill wasn't sure he could manage the spell again. Changing a human's anatomy to allow the oxygen molecules in water to be able to breathe, while filtering out the hydrogen molecules was a hard task, and Dipper seemed to have natural resistance to magic.
"Any ideas?" Dipper asked Bill, who was too lost in thought to register what Dipper had asked, so all he managed was a confused,
"Huh?"
Dipper laughed lightly, small bubbles floating out of his mouth, and repeated the question.
"Well, I could throw you onto the deck and jump on after you. It would take some strength but I could probably manage. Only problem with that is-"
"-it would likely draw attention." Dipper said, finishing Bill's thought.
"Exactly." Bill said.
"What about magic? Do you have any spells that could make us invisible or fly or something?" Dipper asked.
Bill felt like an idiot. Here he was thinking about how he couldn't recast his breathing spell, but didn't even consider any other spell that could help them.
"Not flight or invisibility, but I think I could manage to teleport us." Bill said.
"Into Ford's cabin?" Dipper asked.
"No, I haven't been there, so I'm not familiar with the room enough to get us in there, but I could probably teleport us into the room they kept me in." Bill said.
"What if they cage is locked?" Dipper asked.
"Well, I wouldn't teleport us into the cage, obviously." Bill said, rolling his eyes. Dipper glared at him for a moment.
"Yeah, obviously." Dipper muttered, "And how would we sneak around the ship unnoticed?"
"That, my lovely Pinetree, will be on you. You were the one who snuck down to see me in the cage, after all." Bill said.
"Alright. So we teleport into Ford's prison for you, sneak through the ship, and then what? We probably won't be able to get on deck, there's always someone up there and the only way to Ford's cabin is on the deck." Dipper asked.
"We'll go from there. Play it by ear. I can still read minds, so I should be able to tell who's up there when we get in closer." Bill pointed out.
"So your plan is to just wing it?" Dipper deadpanned. Bill shrugged.
"With a little magic sprinkled in for good measure." Bill commented.
Dipper sighed.
"You're giving me a migraine, Cipher." Dipper grumbled.
