I wake up tired. So tired.

My head aches with a pain that makes me feel like I'm gonna throw up. I just want to go back to sleep, but a figure in the corner makes me sit up.

Why is he sleeping in the chair?

"Gray?" I whisper. He must not have been in a deep sleep, because his head snaps up. His eyes lock onto me and his eyebrows furrow in worry.

"You okay?" He questions, standing up. His worry reminds me of last nights events.

Wesley paid Lucian. It was all a lie.

I try not to cry and quickly change the subject.

"What time is it?" I ask quietly. He looks at his watch.

"A little past ten" He answers. I nod slowly and rest my head back on the pillow.

Even though I try not to think about it, my eyes fill with tears anyway. I didn't think it would hurt this much, since I'm used to Wesley fucking with my life, but the ache in my chest is almost too much to take.

Grayson clears his throat and I look over to see him shoving his phone in his pocket.

"Ethan and Kristina made breakfast if you're hungry," he tells me gently. I barely nod my head, but make no effort to move.

I should probably just go home. Actually, to my house. I don't know where home is.

I slowly sit up and stand. Graysons eyes stay on me.

My body aches almost as much as my chest. I don't know why I feel so awful physically. I feel like someone ran me through a dryer.

"I'm sorry, Evangeline," Grayson says quietly. I think I hear genuine guilt in his voice, but he could just be faking it. I never know with him. He doesn't ever apologize though, so that must be worth something.

"What?"

"I'm sorry. For the way I treated you" he continues. His voice is still gentle and quiet.

"Do we have to talk about this right now?" I question, my tone pleading for him to drop it. He hesitates before sighing.

"C'mon, let's get you some food," he tells me. I almost sigh in relief.

I follow him into the kitchen and two more sets of eyes watch me closely. I feel like a child who just fell, and everyone's just waiting for their reaction.

"Morning" Kristina greets sweetly. I give her a weak smile.

"Coffee?" Ethan offers.

"Yes, please" I nod.
