I rub my eyes as I roll out of bed. Yawning, I plop down each stair. To my pleasant surprise, I was greeted with the smell of wonderful, home-cooked breakfast. I smiled at the sight of my family sitting around the table. Mom, Jack, Nolan. Wait What?! I gasp as I clutch the banister at the sight of his face.

"Good morning, Kat." He smirked at me. No one else can see that that smirk of his is actually truly evil.

"Err, hi." I say, walking to the kitchen to dish out my food. I grab my plate and start putting pancakes and eggs on it.

"That wasn't very polite, Kat." A voice startled me.

"Excuse me? You almost gave me a heart attack! You do realize you don't live here, right?" I poke him on the chest. His hand grabs my finger. When will I ever learn to stop poking the dang boy?

"Didn't I tell you to never- " I cut him off.

" -Touch me." I mimicked his deep voice. His eyebrows lift and I decide to pout at my hand. I'm really hungry and he's keeping me from my food.

"Good nerd."

"Don't call me that."

"Nerd." He replies slowly. That's it. I pounce on him and take him to the floor. I then pin his arms down on the floor and he smirks at me, obviously thinking dirty thoughts about our position.

"Don't call me a nerd." I grit my teeth.

"Don't mimick me." He replied. I roll my eyes for a brief second.

"You're not in control so you can't tell me what to do." Really? That's such a kindergarten thing to say. I give a smirk of my own and tighten my nails into his wrist.

"You think you have more control than me? " He asks. I nod, feeling on top of the world at the fact that I managed to get the bad boy locked down. He then flips us over easily, switching rolls with me and my eyes widen at how fast and easy that was for him.

"What were you saying now beacuse from my position-" He leans down, his breath heating my jaw all the way up to my ear." - It looks like I have all the control." He whispered. My breath hitched and I bit my lip to prevent myself from saying something stupid.

"What's that nois-" My mom barges through the door. I push Nolan off me and his face flushes but not as much as mine.

"Oh." My mom crosses her arm in a threatening way but her face says otherwise. She was desperately trying to stop a grin from spreading across her face. Oh boy.

"Uhm, I, I'll pick you up at 9, Kat. Thanks for breakfast Mrs. Stone." Nolan bailed himself out of the awkward situation. He gets up and grins at me before taking a step away from my position on the floor. I got up off the floor and send him deadly glares.

"Uhh, no you don't." My mother blocks his path. Way to go mom! I giggle as he clenched his jaw. I got up and stuck my tongue out at him while my mother poked her head through the door to mention something to my brother. He narrowed his eyes at me and then he pushed me. What a JERK! I gathered my strength and tried to push him back. He didn't move so I placed both hands on his arm, trying desperately to push him out of his spot. He still didn't move. My mom choose to turn around just then. Her eyebrows shot up and Nolan grinned.

"Katherine!" Mom yelled. I paused, in position, frowning at her. "Are you trying to push him?" She asked.

"Uhhm, no, he- he" I stuttered. Nolan took that time to answer for me.

"Yes, she is."

"But he pushed me first." I poked him. He turned around, facing me. My back was against the counter when he decided to come too close to me. I had nowhere to back up. I wanted to remind him that my mother was in the room but it would make it seem like we're doing something that I wouldn't want my mother to see. Which we are but.. whatever.
