Nolan pulled back reluctantly with a groan.

"I knew you liked her!" Carrie giggles and sits in front of us.

"How did you find us?" Nolan smiled widely.

"You guys were loud and I saw the text saying you were invited to the party. I was up for a party." She lifted a can of coca cola.

Okay, I'm confused now. I sit there watching them converse like they were best friends. Then again, maybe they were.

"Oh, I think we owe her an explanation." Carrie pokes Nolan in the ribs.

"Well, uhm, Kat, this is Carrie and Carrie, you know Kat."

"Nice to meet you Kat." She held out her hand. She's bubbly and I like that!! I take her hand and smile sweetly at her. "And sorry for interrupting." She said, causing me to blush, a lot.

"Don't worry, we can make it up later." Nolan pulled me closer. My face turned blood red and Carrie laughed.

"Oh, I know." She said. "I could sense the sparks from a mile away." Carrie said, nudging me. I hope she was lying, because if she's not.. Chase and his family must've just seen the way we look at each other sometimes and kept quiet. I turned to him and noticed that he was staring back at me.

"Choose me." He whispered, his face buried in my neck.

"I choose my bed right now." I say, standing up.

"Awe, going home already?" Carrie pouted. Nolan and I had already been here for two hours. Carrie nodded and raised her can after Nolan stood up with me.

"I'm not leaving just yet." She said.

"Have fun. They have great music. I'm tired." I smiled at her and she gave me a hug before Nolan guided me back to the bike. When we got back, we walked quietly to the cabin.

"Are you okay?" Nolan stopped me by my door.

"I'm fine. I'm just tired." I say. He gives me a charming smile.

"Goodnight good girl."

"Goodnight bad boy." I step inside my room and close my door.

"Good morning Kat!!" A female voice erupts through my room. I sit up in bed and fan at the sunshine that poured through my window.

"We're meeting at the lake in ten minutes." Carrie grins at me. I smile at her and she bounces off my bed with me following suit. Something about her makes me actually want to get out of bed and enjoy the day. She reminds me of the happy me. The me that my family and friends know. The other half of me.

"What's with all the screaming?" Nolan's raspy morning voice gets me wide awake. Once again, he barges into my room without knocking. Does anyone even practice the art of knocking anymore? I had changed last night into shorts and a muscle tee. Something he's seen me in but now it's different. I scan my bed and see that a sweater is there and I put it on in a bit of a hurry so no questions from Carrie were asked about my scars. My eyes ran over his tall husky figure, standing in a muscle tee that looked so much better on him than mine does on me and sweat pants. God, help me. He literally took the breath out of my mouth.

"Okay, enough fawning." Carrie giggled. I blushed.

"We're doing water sports today!!" Carrie giggled.

"Oh, that's just great!!" I say, faking a smile.

"Well, you should get ready. See you in ten minutes!!" She pushed Nolan out the room and I stood there, a lot of questions running through my head. I ignore them and decide to not change my clothes. No one needs to see my body and the ugly scars on my wrists. I put the hood on my head and grab my phone. Time to play my playlist. I plug in my headphones and begin walking out the door after washing my face and brushing my teeth, the necessities. I walk out to the lake and notice that I was the first one out there. I turn around in time to see Mr. and Mrs. Mathews walking out in their swimsuits, which by the way made them look twenty. My eyes popped.
