CHAPTER TWO
" Athena. "

.• HER BOOTS CONTINUED TO CLICK, THEY CLICKED SO MUCH IT STARTED TO GET ANNOYING. Sighing, Mara heard a small squawk from inside a closed room. Athena! Most likely still a Crow. Quietly, Mara tiptoed through the door where a small cage was at the side. "There you are!" She whisper-yelled gaining the attention of her friend who squawked in joy.

"Athena!" She ran towards the cage, opening the door and letting the crow hop into her hands. Like the wings, she was covered in a golden glow while she changed shape, size and animal. Went from Crow to... Rabbit. "Awh, you're adorable! But, no time for that, we need to get out of here."

Looking around, Mara spotted her old clothes and everything she had before she was taken. She laughed in happiness, before rushing over to them. After gathering her stuff, her bag, her clothes, et cetera. She got changed into her old clothes while smiling in joy.

Athena nodded almost giving a small salute while Mara laughed at her small friend. "Come on." She held Athena in her arms, before placing her inside her bag. Suddenly, voices interrupted her thoughts. Two British voices. Stepping outside the room and peaking around the corner, she spotted a blond girl and a brunette? boy walking towards a room. Not just any room, the Cage. Mara had stayed close to that Cage, before she was moved further away but on the same level.

Creeping behind them, she lifted her hood placing it over her head. She had to know what these lot were up to, they seemed as dumb as her great-grandfather on a Sunday. He got incredibly dumb on a Sunday, no clue why. "Hold it right there." A guard stopped the two, now three, people when the boy held up a card.

"Level three access. Special clearance from Mr Van Statten." He looked at the guard while holding the card then to a man in an orange suit. Weirdo. Mara walked right behind the blond girl, somehow not being noticed by anybody. When all three of them got inside the cage, they all looked at the creature which had been getting tortured. Mara almost ran away in panic. A Dalek. "Don't get too close."

Despite being told not to, the girl got closer. Mara, not wanting to see what would happen, left as soon as possible. She slipped past the guards and continued walking. She slapped her back once more when she got out of the Cage and away from everybody. "I know that I left, no need to tell me I did. Oi, watch your language! Oh, don't get sassy with me!" She scoffed before walking away. Seems like her wings got a new personality, same with herself.

Another alarm started blasting throughout the bunker, oh what have those idiots done now? "Repeat, this is not a drill!" A voice echoed through the hallways making Mara start to speed up. No way was she letting a Dalek kill her and make her regenerate again, not again. Many gunshots were heard being fired making Mara want to run back and help. Footsteps were heard running behind her, making her go against the wall. The two idiots and a guard ran right past her.

She followed.

MEANWHILE...

"I don't want a scratch on its bodywork! Do you hear me?" Van Statten, the man who had tortured both the Dalek and Mara, screamed at the computer screen. A man, the Doctor, stood up straight next to him and a woman sat at the computer screen when she grabbed her earpiece. "Do you hear me?" The gunshots from the screen died out. All guards in that area were dead all thanks to a Dalek.

"Sir, we've got another problem." The woman gulped while looking towards Van Statten, who scoffed in reply. "What now?!" He yelled making the woman gulp again. Noticing the fear in her eyes, he sighed before nodding and leaning towards her when he gasped. "She's what..."

The Doctor looked at the two. "She? Who's she?"

"My other pet, she's escaped." He gulped while looking towards the Doctor, who looked slightly furious. "Tell someone to find her, no, the Dalek, no, uh."

"Who is she?" The Doctor grabbed Van Statten's shoulder making him gulp while looking at the Time Lord. "Well, you see, I told you I had two pets. But she's... like you except different." The Doctor looked confused when the same rush that happened when he arrived passed through his head.

"Uh, Doctor, that's us, right below the surface." The Woman pointed to a blue map that was on the screen, the two men looked at it as it travelled down lots of levels. "That's the Cage, that's the Dalek and that's... the doll." The Doctor nodded, almost confused as he heard the word "doll", before looking towards the woman. "This Museum of yours, have you got any alien weapons?"

She nodded. "Lots of them, but the Dalek's between us and them." Van Statten looked at the two while standing up. "We've got to keep it alive. We could just seal the entire vault, trap it down there." He looked so proud for saying an idea he though sounded good but it was extremely dumb.

"Leaving everyone trapped with it? Rose is down there, so is your so called "puppet", I won't let that happen, have you got that? It has got to go through this area. What's that?" He looked towards a large room on the blue map. "Weapons Testing." "Give guns to technicians, lawyers- anyone, everyone. Only then have you got a chance of killing it."
