You went on foot to the Owl House, thinking about the recent happenings.

You are really petty.

"Did I ask?" you hummed.

No but I still wanted to enlighten you.

"Well, I have now been enlightened by your extremely bias opinion." you sighed.

It's not bias, I am just the only one not blinded from the truth.

"Whatever."

You couldn't care less.

You walked along with a spring in your step, ignoring your brothers teasing.

As you came to the owl house, you slipped off your mask, making it disintegrate.

Swinging your cane, you knocked on the front door.

"LUUUUUUZZZZ YOUR YELLOW-EYED BUDDIES HEEEERREE!!!!!!!" A voice rang out.

You jumped backwards in surprise.

A strange worm-like creature with an owl's face was staring you down with it's beady eyes.

"Woah-" you gasped.

Luz burst out the door, she wore her Hexside uniform and was currently tossing her satchel over her shoulder.

"Hiiii!!!" she cried.

"Hullo." you smiled.

"Um, what's up with the cane, and the cast?" she asked.

"I broke my ankle, it's ok." you shrugged.

She nodded.

"C'mon, I'm gonna be laaaate!" she grabbed your hand and threw you on her staff.

Before you could protest about your violated personal space, she sent you both soaring over the treetops.

"I now you're not a student, but I'm sure Bump will be ok with you tagging along!" she exclaimed.

God she was enthusiastic.

It's really pissing me off, not gonna lie.

"Ok!" you replied.

You stood amongst the other students, you still hadn't assembled enough of your bravery to remove your cloak.

Luz, Willow and Gus stood by you, excitement buzzing in their hearts.

"Good morning students." Principal Bump started, addressing the crowd of eager teens.

"As you may already know, the the would that creates Palismen is becoming endangered, and we could not source any. But, thanks to a friend of mine, we have gathered some Palismen from willing donors. Now, the Palismen will choose it's new owner!"

Everyone gasped in excitement.

"What's a Palismen?" you hissed to Luz.

"It's an adorable creature which becomes your staff!" she whispered.

"Ugh, why would I want a second-hand Palismen?" a pink-haired girl huffed.

"Oh well!" Gus laughed, pushing past her.

You watched as they received their Palismen.

They were adorable, you had to admit.

Luz, to her immense disappointment, didn't get one.

You walked part of the way back with her, to the crossroads that would take you to the palace.

"I will get a Palismen! I need to! I should get one, soon, right?" she grumbled.
