"You got the blood?"
"I did! Finally, Belos will be PROUD of me!!" Hunter dangled the key in front of you.
"Why do you care so much?" you sighed.
He looked away. "Belos... is my uncle."
Your eyes widened.
"Oh."
You were both lying on your backs, heads near the fire.
"I just... can't believe I did it! We did it! I mean, when you... you know... I thought I was gonna die too. I actually felt like I was collapsing. Like I was going to combust! Grief, huh." he chuckled.
"Yeah. Bill's probably dead. But I know he'll be back, in a few days a new script will be written for him. Maybe he'll remember me, maybe not. I hope he's happier though." you gazed at the ceiling.
"Sorry for your loss."
"It's fine. He gave up his life so I could have this one." you took his hand.
He squeezed yours and smiled.
"I'm grateful." he whispered, placing himself on top of you.
You held each other, lips pressed tightly against each other.
Lightning shot through your body and his, and you relished in it.
You peeled away from him eventually, breathing heavily.
"You should get back to the palace." you panted.
"Promise you'll visit me tomorrow night?" he replied.
You smirked. "I promise."
Bill's eyes flickered open, his pupil darting about.
He found himself in an abyss, floating in endless nothing.
A being with golden hair like his floated over, his face covered by a mask.
"So you write our stories?" Bill asked.
"By order of the alliance, I do." he replied.
"T-the alliance? Who are you?"
"It doesn't matter what I tell you, I can easily remove it from your mind." the man, or young man, shrugged.
"I may appear young, but I've lived many lifetimes." he laughed.
Bill's eyes widened.
"I write the scripts, of course I can read the minds of the actors." he chuckled.
"I want to remember my sister." Bill said sternly.
"She wasn't always your sister. In other lifetimes, she's been your enemy, your friend, your victim, your killer, your daughter." he laughed.
"I don't care. I want to remember this lifetime." Bill insisted.
He sighed.
"Fair enough." he clapped his hands, and the void disappeared.
Bill stood in the courtyard of their old home.
His sister ran through one of the doors.
But she wasn't the age she had been last time they had been here, she was the age he had previously left her as.
The young man was leaning against one of the twisted yellow trees.
"What is this?" Bill asked.
"A little haven for you to reside in, whilst I finish your script."
And just like that, he disappeared.
Bill looked around.
"What. The. Fuck." he said.
"Let it be." y/n sighed.
Bill whipped round to face her.
"What? I know I'm not real! Why not enjoy this place while you can?" y/n sighed.
"Ok." Bill said, managing a smile.
Stories have to end, right?
Wrong. Though the book may have turned to it's last page, that doesn't mean the tale ends.
Countless spiralling timelines branch out, countless possibilities conjured by readers, onlookers and those who dwell within the reality.
So this is definitely not the end, we're just waiting for more knowledge to be acquired, to help with a continuation.
But for now, you are left with these threads of happiness;
Bill, he shall return.
Y/n, they get the life they deserve.
And all who follow, will eventually find their suitable climaxes.
