Autumn was stood staring out of the window of her apartment which over looked Seattle. Evie threw her cup onto the floor as Autumn jumped turning to face her daughter. "Evie!" Autumn shouted as she scared Evie as Mark walked into the apartment.

Evie ran over to Mark as she hid behind his legs as Autumn turned to him knowing she had scared Evie. "Hey sweetheart I'm sorry you just gave mommy a little scare I shouldn't have shouted." Autumn says as Mark picked Evie up as buried her head into Marks neck.

"I'll finish getting her ready you do what you need to. Let's go princess." Mark says as he finishes getting Evie ready for the day.

Autumn listened to Dereks speech her head still been in a daze torn between her thoughts of mark or of the shooting as Callie's voice brings her back to reality.

"Hey Autumn you okay?" Callie says looking at her friend concerned at Autumn turns to looks at Callie, Arizona, Mark and Teddy looking at her.

"Yeah I'm absolutely fine anyway I've got a patient to go see." Autumn says as she head to check on her patients as she had already been cleared for surgery.

Two months earlier...
Autumn stood facing away from Andrew as she looked over at Seattle from the window as her mind wandered over the events that had happened a few days prior.

"Dr Montgomery how have you been over the last few days?" Andrew asks her as Autumn turns to face him taking a seat beside him.

"Is the anyway to be when you have been held with a gun pointed at you thinking you were going to die." Autumn says to him as he nods at her looking back at her.

"What we're you thinking about?" Andrew asks her as she looks at him.

"While I thought I was going to die My daughter and her dad to be honest." Autumn says as Andrew nods looking at her file.

"Which is Dr Sloan correct? He's also the one who pushed you out of the way. You two must be close as you co parent." Andrew says as autumn looks at him.

"Yeah he's her dad and yeah I guess we are we've got a child together I think that makes you close anyway." Autumn says as she plays with her fingers.

"There something on your mind Dr Montgomery." Andrew says as Autumn looks back at up at him a small smile on her lips.

"I'm that easy to read huh?" She asks him as he smiles back at her.

"No I'm just very good at my job now is the time to get anything of your chest." He says as Autumn looks up at him.

"The shooting was a terrible thing and I thought I was going to die. I thought that I wouldn't see my little girl grow up and the last thought I would have was of Mark Sloan. I've tried so hard not to feel anything for him but I just can't it's impossible so I'm in love with my daughters father but I'm in a relationship with another man and he's great but I don't love him. But then I can't ruin my friendship with Mark because if he doesn't feel the same it could ruin everything and we're in a really good place." Autumn tells him as he looks at her.

"I think that after everything you've experienced maybe it's okay to take that risk and Dr Sloan seems to care deeply for you. And I'm no expert but you two have a special bond not just because of your child but what you've been through together." Andrew tells her a she signs off her paper as Autumn thanks him and head down to the E.R

Present time...
"The bullet's at the surface.That's good.I can take it out now." Autumn says to Alex as she checks over his bullet wound as she looks up at him.

"Nah. I mean, if it's not infected, m gonna keep it.It's my war wound.Besides...Chicks dig that crap." Alex says as he puts on his scrub top as Autumn looks at him.

"Hey Karev I'm glad your doing okay." Autumn says to him as he nods at her.

"Yeah thanks Montgomery." Alex says as he walks out as Autumn goes to see Evie.

"Callie's watching me sleep." Arizona says to autumn as they were working on a case together.

"What?" Autumn asks her confused by what her friend had just said.

"She's watching me sleep.And she only watches me sleep when something is up,And I'm afraid
that she's gonna propose Or... Start talking about
making babies again,Which I'm-- I'm open to, honestly,Just not right now,you know?And I can feel her watching me, and it is such hard workTo keep my eyes closed, but I know that if I open them,That something loaded is gonna come out of her beautiful mouth And pop the pretty pink bubble that we've been floating in." Arizona explains to Autumn.

"You want to pop the bubble." Autumn tells her as Arizona shakes her head.

"I don't, though." Arizona says as autumn looks up at her.

"Believe me. I've been living in that bubble for years. Oh, no. Mark and I?We're just friends, really. Oh wait I've probably been in love with him since he got me pregnant. And not knowing what to do is horrible." Autumn says as Arizona looks at her.

"My bubble is so pink and so... Pretty." Arizona says dreamily as autumn chuckles at her.

"Pop the bubble." Autumn says as she goes to check on her patient.

Autumn stood with Luke as her eyes were trained on Mark as Cristina and Owen came down the aisle as Mark was watching her also.

The two hadn't really talked since the moment they shared but they knew they'd have to soon. Autumn however had no idea what would be coming too.
