It's been weeks and Tre still hasn't said anything to me. He hates me and I understand why. The kids haven't spoken to me either I figured Tre told them what happened because every day they'd look at me like I ruined their chance at happiness.
Today I was going back to Houston for a week. Tre was staying here with the kids. They don't know I'm leaving and neither does he.
I was currently packing while the kids and Tre sat downstairs in the living room. Once I had my big suitcase packed with everything I needed I put on some sweats and an oversized hoodie and put on my slides.
This is what I've been wearing for the past few weeks, sweats and a hoodie. I grabbed my purse and phone heading downstairs. As I stepped off the last step all eyes were on me.
"Uhm I'm gonna be gone for a week. I'm truly sorry for the pain that I've caused you all it was never supposed to be like this. I love all of you and that'll never change" I said sliding my wedding ring off and sliding it across the coffee table to Tre. He looked at it then back up at me before scoffing.
I sighed grabbing my suitcase and heading out the house. I put my suitcase in the car closing the trunk. I went around about to get in until Tre came out calling my name.
"Dee" he said walking over to me
I looked at him waiting for him to say something.
"You're really going to risk your life and ours by going out there?" he asked
"I'm giving you and the kids space and time it's what you guys need. I can't keep being locked in the room crying my eyes out begging for you guys forgiveness. I won't return if it's a problem that I'm leaving but I need this and I know you do too" I said looking in his eyes for any chance of love for me still being there. But it never showed.
"That's ridiculous. You're going to return understand?" he asked, his jaw clenched
"I understand" I nodded
He pulled me in a hug kissing my forehead. "I love you be safe" he spoke against my cheek
"I love you too take care of the kids. I'll be back to drop off the car I'm just going somewhere really quick"
He squinted his eyes at me before nodding. I got in the car putting my seatbelt on and pulling off.
I pulled up to the smoothie shop getting out. I walked in placing my order and only to my luck Ariel walked in. We made eye contact and I quickly looked away. My name was called and I grabbed my smoothie thanking the employee and quickly leaving.
I felt my arm being pulled and I was soon behind the building of the smoothie shop.
"Dee what's going on? You've been avoiding me for weeks now" Ariel yelled
I scoffed trying to walk away only for her to pull me back.
"Ariel just leave me alone! You're the reason my marriage is hanging on by a fucking thread. We were great friends until you did what you did that night"
"Diora please don't do this I need you" she said walking towards me as I backed up until my back was against the wall. She placed her hands on either sides of my head trapping me.
"You're the only thing that keeps me sane besides Aria. So please Dee don't leave us. Aria really likes you and so do I" she said looking me in my eyes.
"I can't be friends with you anymore Ariel lose my number" I said pushing her away and walking to the car I got in locking the doors. I laid my head against the seat sighing deeply before pulling off to the house.
