The Ozians gathered in the courtyard after the long battle that had just taken place. The Animal Rights Defense Force were wearing their dress uniforms.
Nessa was the first to speak. "Citizens of Oz, I bring you news of great joy. The terrible reign of the Wizard of Oz has finally reached its end!" Everyone began to clap and cheer wildly. Nessa then put a hand up to silence the crowd. "I also would like to announce that Elphaba is heir to the throne of Oz, since the Wizard is her real father. She will be following in the footsteps of the Wizard, and leading all of Oz to a better future." At that, Nessa took the book of Ozian law, and walked to Elphaba, who placed her hand on the book. "Elphaba, do you solemnly swear that as the new Witch of Oz, you will support and defend the city of Oz against all enemies, foreign and domestic?
"I do." Elphaba replied. Nessa then asked her again. "Will you to your power cause Law and Justice, in Mercy, to be executed in all your judgements?"
"I will." She replied.
Elphaba then took her hand off the book and faced the crowd, smiling. A gold colored version of her hat was then placed on her head. "Presenting Elphaba, the new Witch of Oz!" At that, everyone began to cheer again. Elphaba waved to the crowd. After a few minutes, the crowd fell silent, awaiting her first proclamation.
"Thank you everyone for helping me in fighting for a cause that is very important to me. My first proclamation is that all Animals, however big or small, will be guaranteed rights. There will be a ban on cages effective immediately, and the Animals will be able to speak their minds." Everyone clapped, then quickly fell silent.
"Next, I would like to name Glinda the Good as my top advisor and the second in command of my council. Glinda stepped forward smiling and waving. She was given a new golden wand, since her old one broke when she hit an anti Animal cult member over the head with it.
"I would like to name Evanna Cameron and Azure Carson as the new Captains of the Animal Defense Force." Both of the soldiers stepped forward. They were given brand new swords. They both saluted Elphaba and then went back into formation.
Everyone then started cheering. "Long live the Rulers of Oz! Long live the Animal Defense Force!"
Everyone in the streets then began to sing and dance. "No one mourns the Wizard! Wizard.... Wizard!"
