When I woke up, from what I assumed was a dream, I couldn't stop crying. It was dark and my eyes were adjusting, so I couldn't see anything. All I knew was that my head was propped up on something hard that kept moving up and down, up and down.

"Lib? Are you crying?"

Newt's voice came from behind me, so I slowly sat up and turned to face him. Remembering what we had talked about last night made me less embarrassed when I realized I had had my head on Newt's chest.

Because I was now facing him, Newt could see the tear stains that marked my face. My rosy cheeks had pale lines where the salty moisture had run down my face and off of my chin.

Newt reached out and wiped them away. "Hey, Lib. Shhh, awh come here beautiful."

If it had been another time and in a different situation, I might have replayed the exact moment that he called me beautiful. Unfortunately, now was not the time. I pushed the thoughts to the back of my mind, as I allowed Newt to pull me on to his lap and wrap his arms around my waist. I wrapped my legs tightly allowed his body and buried my chin in the crook of his neck.

"I've been having dreams, although I don't think they're really dreams..." I explained everything to him, all of the dreams I had had that I hadn't before mentioned.

Newt listened intently, nodding at intervals. I appreciated the way we were sitting, this way I didn't have to see the concern on Newt's face and he didn't have to see the emotional pain in mine.

"I bet you think I'm crazy," I finished, pulling my head back to face Newt.

"I don't think that, I believe you. I just want you to know that you don't have to worry about what's going to happen here; in the glade. I'll take care of it. And I'm sure your brother will be fine, at least he isn't on his own."

I took in what Newt had said, I appreciated it a lot. "Can I ask you something, Newt?"

Newt smiled "anything."

"Are we, like... A couple? Boyfriend and girlfriend?" I asked curiously.

After I had said it, I immediately regretted it and thought about how stupid I must sound. What if he doesn't want to go out with me? Why would he?

All of a sudden Newt had gently slid away from me so I was sitting on the floor again. Then, he stood up and held out his hands to me. I took the them politely and let him help me up to my feet.

Newt didn't let go of my hands, instead he pulled them closer to him, causing me to step closer with them.

"Libellus Hope, will you do me the honour of being my girlfriend?" Newt asked, blushing a little.

"Newt, I do!" I announced with a grin.

We stood there smiling to each other, letting a little humour come into our lives before we had to live through the grimness that was still in the air. That was until the sound of the doors opening for the day interrupted our peace, and we decided to head back to the glade.
