It was the usual class day. Teachers boring everyone to death, and kids not paying attention.
I looked over to my left and saw a boy with brown shaggy hair that was just above his bright blue eyes. He wore a band tee and had a little sag to his pants. I couldn't help but stare.
I instantly knew he was new because I basically knew everyone at the school, even if I'm not friends with them.
Me being the 'have to make everyone feel welcome' person, I walked up to him.
"Hey I'm Annabelle, but you can call me Anne. What's your name?" I said putting my hand out for him to shake.
He looked at me in annoyance and ignored my hand shake.
"Okay I guess you aren't the outgoing type." I said putting my hand away.
He rolled his eyes at my comment.
Seeing that he probably wasn't in the mood to chat right now I walked back to my seat and sat down. Through the whole class I kept sneaking peeks at him, but he was surprisingly focused on the teacher.
The bell rang and I started walking to my next class, which was also my least favorite class, Biology. I took my seat by the window and then took out my notebook and started writing.
Yes I do like to write stories but it's no big deal. I mean I've been writing since I was little, it's one of the things I actually enjoy doing.
Apparently the new boy was in this class also because he walked in giving the whole class a cold glare.
What crawled up his ass and died?
He came up to where I was sitting and sat behind me, throwing his books down loudly.
I jumped in surprise and turned around to face him. "Could you be any louder? I'm trying to learn." I said rudely.
Okay, I know that was cruel of me but hey he was mean to me last hour and I just don't like when people are rude to people they don't even know.
He glared at me. "I actually can"
I just rolled my eyes, copying him from last hour and turned back around. I decided to give him another chance and be nice again. I mean it was his first day here and I want it to be a good one for him.
"So are you new here?" I asked him smiling, turning back around to face him.
"Obviously " He replied without looking up from his worksheet.
Oh so he was going to play that game now. huh, Well then Mr. sassy pants.
After an agonizing hour the bell rang and I was the first one out of the class.
The day went by fast without the new boy in anymore of my classes. I have a feeling today was only the first day with him.
When school ended I walked to my locker to put my books away then met up with my friend Callie. We have been friends since elementary school. Besides her I don't have many friends but I'm okay with that.
I got home and dropped my bag on my floor and flopped down on my bed.
I hate homework.
I finally finished all my homework and let out a groan.
I got a text from my dad telling me to make a frozen pizza and that he won't be home until late. Great. Another night alone.
I quickly texted him back an okay and went downstairs to make my pizza.
My dad has two full time jobs and is almost never home so you think I would get used to being home alone. My mother died when I was 3 and I don't have much memory of her. I just have a necklace that was hers.
