Today was a normal day so far. I did all my work, hung out with Evan, ate lunch, the usual.

But that had to change when that guy with the accent came up to me.

"Hello again, Love." He said smiling.

I turned around to face him. "Hi, I never got your name? Care to tell me?" I asked.

"Elliot. Elliot Stevens."

"Hi Elliot, I'm Annabelle as you already know, but you can always call me Anne." I said smiling, shaking his hand.

"It's nice to finally meet you." He said laughing lightly.

I smiled again. "So where are you originally from?" I asked him.

"I'm from Belgium, it's in Western Europe." He answered.

"Wow. Why'd you move?"

"Parents got a better job here." He said with ease.

"Good for them. So how are you liking it here?"

"I love it. I just wish I could walk downtown to see everything one day."

"I could show you around sometime? We could go to Wilsons Coffee and Tea and just hang out after." I said.

"Maybe today?" He asked.

"Sure. Meet me after school and we can go then."

"Sounds great! Well I have to go to my next class or I'll be late. Til we meet again Annabelle." He said smiling while leaving to his next class.

"See you soon." I said as I waved goodbye and left to go to my next class also, I found Evan and sat down next to him.

"Hey have you seen the new guy yet?" I asked him.

"There's another new guy besides me? Wow that was fast." He replied laughing.

"Yes there is, he has a British accent." I said smiling.

"Oh are you going to fall in love with him now?!" Evan said pretending to get shot with a bow and arrow in the heart.

"No I'm not, but we are going to walk around the city together so he can get to know this place more."

"Do you even know his name?"

"Yes actually I do, it's Elliot Stevens." I said glaring at him.

"Well when are you walking with him?" He asked.

"Today Evan. Why do you want to know anyways?"

"Just wondering."

"Okay everyone get out your text books and open to page 346." The teacher said as she sat down in her desk.

"Why can't I just go home?" Evan said quietly.

"I agree." I said laughing.

When school was over I went to my locker to get my stuff and grabbed my backpack. I shut my locker and nearly screamed my head off when I saw someone leaning on the locker next to mine.

"Oh my gosh you scared the shit out of me!" I said putting a hand over my heart.

Elliot laughed and rolled his eyes.

"All I did was lean on this locker." He said still smiling.

"Yeah well don't do that." I said as I walked away.

"Wait are we still on for later?" He asked.

"Yeah I'll give you a ride let me just use the bathroom real quick" when I got out of the bathroom I left to my car.

I got in the drivers seat and turned on the engine when my passenger door opened and Evan hopped in frowning at me.

"You didn't forget about me did you?" He asked pouting slightly.

Dammit.

"Uh no I was just warming the car up." I said smiling.

But before I headed home I remembered about Elliot.

"Evan I have to go back to school and pick Elliot up. I'm supposed to walk with him around town today remember?"

I swear I'm forgetting everyone today

"Oh right. Him." He replied.

We got back to school and I saw Elliot standing there waiting for me.

I yelled out his name which made him turn quickly and face me.

His smile widened and he walked to my car. "Hop in." I told him.

He listened and got in. "We just have to drop Evan off then we can go downtown."

"Okay, sounds good."

"Wait what if I want to come with?" Evan said interrupting us.

"No." I said harshly.

"Bu-"

"I said no Evan. I'll live, you don't have to worry about me."

"Well if he wants to come he can." Elliot replied.

"He's fine he doesn't need to come."

"But I want to." Evan said.

"Well you aren't. End of discussion."

Evan huffed like a child and put his lip out.

"Bye Evan." I said as we reached my house.

He angrily got up and left the car muttering something in the lines of 'stupid'.

"Do you want to walk there or drive?" I asked Elliot.

"If walkings okay with you, I'd like to do that."

"Walking it is." I replied smiling.

After an hour of walking Elliot and I stopped at a coffee shop to get some food.

"Thanks for walking downtown with me."

"No problem, it was fun."

"We should hang out again sometime?" He asked.

"Definitely." I said smiling.

He smiled back as we sat down at a table close to the windows.

Later when we finished we walked back to my place and his mom picked him up, since I gave him a ride here.

I waved to her and smiled, and she did the same.

Elliot was a pretty nice guy.

I walked back into my house and saw Evan on the couch watching TV.

"Hey." I said plopping down next to him.

"Hi." He said angrily.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing. How was downtown?"

"It was good. Thanks for asking." I said smiling.

"But seriously what's wrong?" I asked again.

"Nothing. Just leave it Annabelle."

"Okay whatever."

"Thank you."

The thing was, I'm not going to drop it. I want to know what's wrong with him all the time, but I'm going to find out.
