Divergent Soulmate

Chapter 9.

Jupiter's body clock wakes her up at 5:30 just as she has done all her life, Jupiter climbs out of her bed as she stands up Jupiter looks around the room to see Peter and Edward sleeping happily in their beds.

Smiling Jupiter stretches her sore muscles out before bending down and taking out her towel and some clothes from her trunk that is placed below her bed. 

Quietly closing the trunk Jupiter tip toes past all the beds and walks to the showers passing her two sleeping mates with a small smile on her face.

Once Jupiter is in the bathroom she quietly goes to the toilet and washes her hands before moving to one of the corner showers because you can't see it from the bedroom once certain that no one can see her, Jupiter undresses from her pajamas as quickly as possible then Jupiter takes the world's quickest shower.

Amazingly Jupiter also manages to wash her hair in under 5 minutes which is a first for her once she has rinsed off the conditioner, Jupiter turns the shower off and takes her towel off the hook then she starts to dry herself off.

After she has dried herself off Jupiter takes her clothes off the other hook and begins to get dressed for the day, once she has her clothes on Jupiter walks back over to the sinks where the mirrors are.

Looking in one of the mirrors Jupiter puts on some mascara and some black eyeliner once she is sure that her makeup is done, Jupiter begins to plait her hair tightly into 2 dutch braids since she has her first day of training today and she doesn't want to fuck it up.

Taking one last glance in the mirror Jupiter picks up all of her things moving quietly through the bedroom Jupiter places her pajamas under her pillow and makes her bed before placing her makeup back into the trunk below her bed.

Standing back up Jupiter looks over at Peter's sleeping figure stifling her laughter, Peter is fast asleep with his head resting on his trunk that is just beside his bed.

Poor Pete is going to have a sore neck when he wakes up Jupiter thinks as she shakes her head.

Before walking out of the barracks Jupiter looks over to check on Edward who is happily and comfortable sleeping in his own bed, casting a quick glance around the rest of her fellow transfers Jupiter walks away leaving everyone fast asleep in the sleeping quarter.

Jupiter quietly walks through the halls of Dauntless just in case anyone is sleeping after taking a few wrong turns Jupiter finds her way to the food hall unlike the night before Jupiter is met by silence as she enters the hall almost immediately Jupiter spots Eric sitting on his own at the table the furthest away from everyone else.

Jupiter notices that nobody is daring to go near Eric instead they are squished into the other end of the hall leaving the very grumpy-looking leader alone shaking her head Jupiter takes a step towards Eric then another and another.

As Jupiter makes her way over to Eric she notices that are staring at her with either curiosity or anger in their eyes with causes her skin to crawl shaking off the stares Jupiter raises her head and walks over to her soulmate with her head held high, Jupiter stops just a few steps away from Eric's table and decides to make her presence known.

"Good morning my very grumpy soulmate why are we sitting alone" Jupiter asks.

Jupiter takes the last few steps forward and sits opposite Eric forcing him to look at her instead of just staring down at his food with a cold look.

"It has nothing to do with you" Eric replies.

Sighing Jupiter moves her hand towards Eric's tray on reflex Eric grabs hold of Jupiter's wrist tightly but not tight enough to hurt her, this earns a smirk from Jupiter as quickly moves her other hand stealing a piece of bacon off his tray.
