Today is Henry's birthday.
Henry invited me, William, some of our coworkers, and some friends from college to come join us at a restaurant tonight, though i'm not sure which one because he didn't make it clear.
Speaking of coworkers, i've grown kind of close to my coworker, Julia, whose only two years younger, but is really cool and fun to be around.
"Willow! Don't forget i'll be picking you up tonight after I pick up William and John. The others will take a different car. Be ready!" Henry smiled.
I smiled back. "Okay Henry."

"God you're so stupid you know that! I'd figured that you'd be mature by now, but you're not! You get employed at that.. place and now you're going out with the employees? Employees that probably murdered those kids? This is how you die!" my mom screamed.
"I'm 26 fucking years old mom! I don't need you still treating me like i'm 17!" I screamed back. I noticed Maggie looking at me and mom going at it.
"This is your final warning. You go out with those freaks and you're out." my mom lowered her tone, now seriously serious.
I turned around to her slowly. "I don't need your fucking warning. I'm out by the end of the week." I noticed Maggie furrow her eyebrows.
My mom widened her eyes. "W-What? I was only bluffing!"
"And I wasn't. I'm 26, I don't need to be living with my mother." I ended.
I turned around and walked out the kitchen, leaving my mother inside and my sisters head following me.
I was ready for Henry to come, and he should be here at any moment now. I sat down in the living room by the door and patiently waited.
I probably shouldn't have said that. I have nowhere else to go.
I've only been working a few weeks and only have so much money that it could be enough for rent but not enough for food and shit like that.
My thoughts were cut off by honking outside.
I stood up excitedly, walking over to the door without saying goodbye to my mom.
"Where are you going?" Maggie asked.
I turned around. "Just with some friends."
"No I mean, where are you gonna go.." Maggie re-asked.
I sighed. "I don't know Maggie. I'll figure it all out." I turned to the door and opened it, leaving the house and closing it behind me.
Henry's car was outside of my home with the windows rolled down. "Come on Willow!"
As I approached the car, the back seat door opened.
Out came a tall man. It was William. I had forgotten he was coming, though he is Henry's best friend. He had began to approach me as I approached him.
William was wearing a simple black hoodless sweatshirt with simple black pants. It was sort of weird seeing him without his work attire. And I guess he wasn't one to dress, because John and Henry were dressed a little fancier.
But I guess I shouldn't speak, because I was wearing a brown full-zip sweater with green cargo pants. A little weird for a birthday.
"Hello love." William held out his hand. "Ladies first." he smiled.
I snorted. "I don't look like much of a lady right now."
William shrugged his shoulders. "I mean, if you've suddenly become a man I can just sit right back down and let you go last."
