DON'T FORGET TO READ THE CHAPTER I POSTED BEFORE THIS ONE " {36} Just Smile And Nod"
Im about to be on y'all's hit list by the time this chapter is over ☺️
And yes I'm updating again because I'm trying to get Cate's part out of the way. I hate him just as much as you do...
IIIIIIIIIII"I love your eyes. What color are they?" Paige asked Cate.
Cate had only been there for 30 minutes and this was her 10th question.
If Addison didn't think the guy was bitch, he would feel kind of bad for him. But Cate seemed to be fine. He looked like he was feeding off of attention, Addison was unsurprised.
He slickly went over and turned up the Christmas music playing on Oliver's Bluetooth speaker. Anything to drown out Cate's voice.
But he still heard it, "They're just hazel." Cate responded.
Paige squealed. "You are so adorable. I'm happy Olivers with you. You guys seem good with each other."
Addison watched as the boy leaned into Oliver, whom he shared the couch with on the other side of the room. It pained him to think about it, but if it weren't for Cate, maybe he would be sharing that couch with him.
Maybe he wouldn't be feeling this overwhelming sensation of loneliness as everyone talked and laughed with their partners. Hell, even Gabe and Autumn seemed to be having the time of their lives.
But he sat alone with a mug of eggnog, that tasted like cough medicine.
He wished that his mom had slipped a little rum in it. Maybe this evening wouldn't be such a bust.
"So..." Eve started, "Cate Wilders."
Addison rolled his eyes. God, is that all everyone wanted to talk about? He locked eyes with Oliver, who gave him a questioning glance, "You okay?" The boy mouthed. Addison shrugged and downed the overly rich refreshment.
"Yes?" Cate smiled.
"Tell us about you. Anyone who's a friend--or boyfriend--of Oliver is a friend of ours."
"What do you wanna know?"
"Nothing," Addison muttered to himself. Everyone turned to him with equally confused looks. "Sorry, keep going."
"Just tell us some stuff. If I'm making you uncomfortable, you don't have to."
God, the way Cate smiled and fumbled with his hands like he was so innocent and shy was sickening.
"I-I'm 17, I enjoy film and photography, and I'm not too well with these kinds of situations, sorry." The boy's cheeks turned a crimson shade of red.
"He's hot." Autumn grinned.
