"Here's your pizza, Eve

"Here's your pizza, Eve. I think you should head out before Sharron gets back." Addison handed Eve her dinner and went back behind the counter. After trying to make amends with Oliver for a week, he's given up. Now they're both in a shitty mood, and it's all Addison's fault.

It's a pretty chill day at Pete's. It's Halloween and people are either having parties or trick or treating. Addison's stuck at work because the greasy pizza won't serve itself.

"No, I'm waiting for Eli. We haven't talked all day." She popped open the box, moaning the moment a slice hit her tongue.

"It's never that serious," he muttered. Eli walked out from the back, his face lighting up at the sight of Eve.

"Eve!"

"Hey." She hugged him and handed him a slice of pizza. They stood next to each other, leaning on the counter, whispering and giggling.

It was disgusting.

"Addison." The boy looked up from his phone at the sound of his name. "What happened with Oliver?"

"Nothing."

Addison never thought he would say this, but he missed Oliver's calls. But not as much as he's been missing their conversations. Not just as User, but as Oliver in general. His smile, his stupid jokes, and most definitely the warmth that every single one of his touches held.

"He hasn't said a word to you in a whole month and hasn't called this place-"

"-Don't you think I've noticed that?"

Eli looked back at Eve, they both shrugged and continued with their conversation. The rest of his shift was just annoying and depressing. Not for Eli and Eve though, Addison's sure they're fucking in private. Not his business.

"You know when people say that food 'hits the spot?'" Eve started. They had just gotten outside, on their way home for the night. "Isn't that like, equivalent to hitting your stomach's g-spot?"

Addison stopped in his tracks, and for the first time tonight, he cracked a little smile. "You and Eli are so random."

"But it made you smile." Eve nudged him with a grin.

"Yeah... it did."

After parting ways, Addison drove home in complete silence. Tomorrow was the last meeting before the fall festival, and for the past month, Oliver hasn't been to one. It was Addison's only chance to see him where he couldn't avoid him, so Oliver decided to avoid it. Smart, but not very convenient for Addison.

When he gets home his parents are out doing god knows what, he's happy they're going strong. Lord knows he could never be in a relationship, let alone make one last. His mother texted him saying they wouldn't be home until midnight and she left some candy for him to pass out for the kids. Something they both knew he wouldn't do, that candy was going straight to his room.
