After Mr.L and the other mysterious voice owner had come to the agreement of escape, they immediately set to work. Time was funny there - there didn't seem to be any. It unnerved Mr.L by the thought that decades could have already passed without him knowing, but it scared him more knowing that this other person had been trapped here longer.

"You said that you put yourself in stasis... Why?" Mr.L questioned after a long period of silence, "I mean... besides whatever involving your 'light'."

The quiet settled back in as Mr.L waited, slightly uncertain if he said it out loud or thought it, unsure if the other heard.

"I... tried to take back my power nicely... But he refused so I needed to take desperate measures." They replied, not specifying who 'he' was, "I used someone to take it back and I would have released him afterward but they all attacked me and I became too weak to do anything... As my power was ripped out of my body all I could do was go into this state or perish."

He chuckled a little, but it was quieter.

"But I'm half glad I did do that because now I know you." They added, "What should I call you, by the way?"

"Uh... I would rather not give out my name on account of a few sketchy things I've done... But you can call me whatever as long as you don't call me late for getting the heck out of this place." Mr.L replied, smirking to himself.

Mr.L smiled as he could hear them laugh in response. This laugh sounded nice to him, not forced or frightened like the other laughs.

"Ah ha ha, fair enough. I would rather not disclose my name either... Few people tend to enjoy my company. Well... Scratch that, no one really does." They stated.

"I don't see why, you seem pretty great." Mr.L replied.

They didn't reply for a little bit, casting a wave of silence over them.

"We should try to find a way out, or at least figure out how we've been connected telepathically." They said, "Are you perhaps a Psychic-type?"

"Nope. Just an Electric-type." Mr.L stated, "Are you an Electric-type? Sometimes you can communicate via electricity."

"I am not... And I am not a Psychic-type either..." They hummed in response, "Let's move on to trying to escape this mind-prison: do you know any moves that could perhaps snap you out of this stupor? Perhaps something like Calm Mind?"

"No... nothing that fancy... I have stuff like Thunderbolt and Electroweb." Mr.L muttered, "Oh! I know Wish!"

"Wish?" They repeated.

"Yeah! Maybe I can use that and that can wake me up!" Mr.L confidently exclaimed.

"Or you could end up using something like Perish Song and both of us will die." They stated, "It's a tad too risky with too many variables, we need another plan."

Mr.L sighed in response and sat down, wrapping his arms around himself to try and negate some of the pain he was constantly feeling. The Pokémon in green quickly learned that this person with him was very meticulous when it came to planning, no detail would be allowed to go unchecked.

Because of that, a lot of their plans were scrapped for being too risky. Days seemed to go by and they made no progress on escape. The only progress they did seem to make was chatting amongst themselves and becoming closer. However, having all of their inner dialogue shared between themselves became awkward at times, they had to get used to it. After all, the two of them were connected and neither knew how or why.

"Why do you think our minds are connected in this stasis if neither of us are the same type of Pokémon as the other?" Mr.L asked, "It makes no sense!"

"Well, to be fair, most things involving me make no sense." They replied, "Normally I'm frowned upon for being like this. That is why I normally don't get along with many people, they hate me and are afraid of me."

"Afraid of you?" Mr.L questioned.

"You know how I keep talking about my light? Well, even without it, I'm still a very powerful being. It doesn't help that I don't look very....."

They paused and took a shaky breath that Mr.L could not hear, but their now weaker tone suggested it to him.

"I-I'm just a freak. You would never like me or even wish to speak with me if you saw me." They said, their voice quivering, "W-when this is all over you should do best to forget me..."

"Forget you? Why the heck would I want to do that? You've been the best person I've talked to in a LONG time." Mr.L stated, "I'm sure whatever you think makes you a 'freak' is really no big deal."

They didn't respond and Mr.L smirked.

"C'mon, you worried about something like a weird eye color?" Mr.L asked, his tone taunting.

"Ha! I wish that was all." They replied.

"Weird skin color?"

"To say the least."

"Ooh! I got it: you're a Magicarp!" Mr.L laughed.

They paused for a moment before the two of them burst out laughing.

"Farthest from it! You WISH I was just a Magicarp." They laughed.

"So, what Pokémon are you, then?" Mr.L asked, "I personally recently evolved into a Raichu!"

A silence came between them for a moment.

"A Raichu, huh? Well... I guess you could say Pokémon like me are notorious for being something of a Pikachu ourselves, eh-heh..." They trailed off, "L-let's just come up with some more ideas to get out of this place."

After some time, Mr.L sighed as he tapped his foot on the ground, becoming impatient as he waited for a plan to be decided on. The Pokémon in green sighed as the other kept rambling off possibilities and then shooting down the ideas.

"Perhaps jumpstarting your body with one of your Electric-type attacks? No, you may end up not waking and injuring yourself. I could maybe use Magic Room or Trick Room? No, that won't be enough to wake me and it wouldn't even affect you..." They trailed off.

Mr.L sighed and stood up, tired of doing nothing but sit around and feel like he was literally baking in a furnace.

"Alright, I'm just going to use Wish and hope for the best." Mr.L stated.

"What?! That's FAR too risky! Too many unaccountable variables a-"

"Oh come ON! We're already trapped here, how much worse could it get?" Mr.L retorted.

"I could get trapped here without someone else to speak with." They replied almost instantly.

They paused for a moment.

"Wait, I didn't mean for that thought to come to pass-"

"It's fine. I guess that is a worse thing that can happen." Mr.L replied, interrupting them, "After hearing your train of thought I can kinda understand that."

They remained silent as Mr.L chuckled to himself.

"It's fine, we can wait to come up with something else." Mr.L decided.

"No." They stated.

"What?"

"No. Go ahead and try. I don't want my paranoia of being left alone again to stop you from escaping." They replied, "Besides, I trust that you'll help me out."

Mr.L paused but then smiled to himself, nodding even though they couldn't see.

"Alright. I'll try." Mr.L said, "And don't worry, I'll make sure you get out and get your light."

Mr.L could feel them smile in response as he stood up. The Pokémon in green took a deep breath and concentrated. He flicked his tail and whipped out his hand to use Wish. Then his surroundings went black.
