FURTIVE
-STEVE AWOKE BESIDES Irina in the morning. She had stayed over at his out the night before, which wasn't unusual. It also wasn't unusual for him to find her already awake next to him staring up at the ceiling. She always looked so deep in thought.
"What are you thinking about?" Steve asked, pulling her close to him and pressing a kiss onto her temple.
"What happens if they find me, Steve?" She asked and Steve furrowed his eyebrows.
"Who?" He questioned.
"The Russian Lab. Hawkins Lab. What happens then?" She asked. Her question was rhetorical and pure curiosity mixed with worry and Steve knew that. He knew that these things got to her head, and rightly so. It was scary.
"That won't happen. Hawkins Lab doesn't even exist anymore. And as for the Russian Lab, they won't get to you. Not here." Steve said. Irina snuggled into his chest and she felt his lips press a kiss into her hair.
"Now as much as I would much prefer to stay in bed with you all day, I gotta get to work." Steve sighed.
"No!" Irina groaned, holding onto him tighter.
"I promise I will make it up to you later." Steve smirked and Irina kissed him passionately on the lips before sitting up.
"I need to go to. I promised Eleven and Max that I would take them to Starcourt." She said.
"You're the cab now you can drive." Steve chuckled.
"The free cab." Irina groaned, making Steve chuckle until his eyes caught something on Irina's neck.
"Huh. Would you look at that." Steve smirked, brushing his thumb over the small love bite he had made the night before.
"Steve! My dad is going to murder you."

Irina drove Max and Eleven to Starcourt and followed them to Scoops, thinking she may as well drop by while she was there.
Robin was at the counter when they arrived. Max and Eleven ran away giggling about something."You here for Harrington?" Robin asked and Irina nodded. "He's in the back with some kid. Dustin, I think? They're trying to translate a 'secret Russian code' or something." She chuckled at how dumb it sounded, but Irina's face dropped.
"What?" She asked.
"Yeah, Dustin said something about being American heros or intercepting secret Russian Communication? I don't know, sounds pretty dumb. They're getting nowhere. They haven't even figured out that Russian has an entirely different alphabet to English." Robin laughed but Irina just gulped.
