SIGNAL"I think it's time we get involved." Steve says.
The team has gathered for another meeting. Hopefully the last one. It is time to take action and figure out a rescue plan. With time running low, they are even more determined than before.
"Still no sign of her?"
"No. We've tried everything."
"We've taken down most of the Hydra bases but they have people everywhere. They know where and how to hide. So it's up to us to narrow it down."
"Maybe not everything." Bucky says in a low voice.
"Care to share?" Tony asks.
"What if I turn myself in?"
"No. That is out of the question." Steve says, immediately shooting down the idea.
"Why not? It could work."
"We are not trading one person for the other." Steve says, in a tone that does not leave room for an argument. "There has to be another way."
"This could be our only chance Steve." Bucky argues.
"They would know that we are up to something." Natasha quickly adds. "I feel like Hydra has been tagging her for a long time. So they know that she is with us."
"Besides, there is no guarantee that you will be on the same facilities. And don't forget that Hydra has a way of making you do everything they want." Clint says.
"By the time we get to her, it could be too late."
"She would do the same for us." Bucky adds, crossing his arms.
"I know that even if I find her as the winter soldier, she will find a way to get both of us out." Bucky says.
Steve doesn't budge.
"I can try to think of any other Hydra bases that I might know of, but I haven't really been in contact with them for a while, and I don't remember them all."
"Anything helps at this point. Do you think you could locate them in a map?"
"Yes."
"You don't think she's dead, right?" Peter asks, the team looking at him with a worried gaze.
Peter is not usually one to be negative, in fact he tries to be the opposite of that, but he has to get the idea out of his mind, afraid that he might be right.
"She is not dead." Wanda says, shaking her head. "I am sure of that."
"How do you know?" Peter asks.
"They have a special connection." Pietro says with a small smile.
"Could we use this connection to find her?" Peter asks, trying not to get his hopes up.
"I have tried, but there is something blocking me." Wanda explains. "There has to be something in their facility shutting me out."
"I don't know of any facilities that can do that." Bucky says.
"Which is why it's dangerous for any of us to go in alone. We don't know what we're dealing with here."
"We want to rescue her, yes, absolutely, but let's try not to lose anyone else in the process. She wouldn't want that."
The atmosphere grows heavier, the weight of silence filling the air.
Just as all hope seems to be lost, Wanda's head snaps up.
"Wanda?"
"I know where she is." She says, gasping as she stands up.
"Wait, what?" Peter asks, everyone's eyes on her as she chuckles.
"What's that Tony?" Steve asks, putting a hand on his shoulder as he glances at a bright red blip on the screen.
Tony follows his gaze and falls back on his chair, letting out a relieved sigh.
"It's her phone." He says, closely looking at the screen, showing it to everyone to make sure it's not a dream. "Someone turned it back on, now we can track it."
"FRIDAY?"
"Already on it boss."
The team hurries over to the computer to trace the location.
"I don't get it," Bruce says, "that's in the middle of nowhere."
"Well, it might not be the exact location, but it sure helps. I say we go check it out." Tony says.
"Maybe I will be able to pinpoint her location once we are close enough." Wanda adds.
"Does this feel right Wanda?" Steve asks.
"Yes."
"I'll go get the jet ready." Natasha says, not wasting another second.
Tony is about to follow suit, but Steve stops him, placing a hand on his upper arm.
"It could be a trap."
"I don't care." Tony says, Steve managing a small nod.
"As long as we are all in the same page."
"She thinks the world of us." Tony says. "Let's not prove her wrong."
In no time the Avengers are suited up and ready to go.
"Stay here until we come back Peter." Tony says.
"No way!" Peter exclaims, walking behind them.
"Peter, it's too dangerous. Even for us."
"I don't care if I'm not a part of the Avengers!" Peter says, slamming the table. "I'm coming with you to rescue her because she is also my friend!"
"Tony." Steve says. "We really don't have time for this."
"Fine." Tony says with a sigh. "Let's go."
"Captain, if you could do the honors."
"Avengers, let's go get our friend."
