Ophelia sat there in shock and silence. He had her ring. What was she meant to do? Wake him up screaming and shouting? Put it back and see what he did?Her mind flew through so many options and thoughts as she decided to put it back and act like she didn't know. Maybe he'd found it and was going to give it to her.
But why hadn't he earlier? Surely his day couldn't have been that bad if he'd found her ring right?
She slowly slipped the ring back into his pocket just as he stirred awake. Leaning back slightly as he sat up straight and rubbed his eyes.
"Shit sorry did I nod off?" He asked groggily as he looked around.
She nodded slowly as he groaned and stood up. She followed as he handed her the glasses, helped her down and took a hold on her hand, leading her inside.
They walked into the kitchen as Ophelia put the glasses in the sink and turned to him rubbing his eyes.
"I take it you're going to bed now?" She asked quietly, her mind only wanting to know when he'd tell her he found her ring.
He thought for a second before shaking his head. "No I better head back out there. Those cobras aren't going to catch themselves."
Ophelia was about to protest but he walked over and held her face in his hands.
"You go get some sleep my love and I'll be home soon." He leant down and planted a soft kiss on her lips before gently stroking her cheek and heading out.
Ophelia watched as he headed out and got into his car. She yawned and thought about going to bed but then her mind went to Eyeball.
She quickly rushed upstairs and got changed into a pair of shorts and a top before slipping her trainers on. Grabbing whatever money she could find she shoved it in her back pocket and rushed downstairs, being as quiet as possible as to not wake her parents.
She was soon running through the View, heading for Castle Rock as she stopped. Xavier's car was parked outside a different house.
She looked around as she couldn't see him anywhere but found herself wanting to edge closer.
She couldn't hear see anything so she slowly edged towards the house. A light was on in the front window as she slowly slunk closer.
She reached the front garden as she began crawling on all fours till she reached the window where she slowly but surely raised herself up to look through.
Xavier was sat on a sofa with two other guys Ophelia recognised as Kieran and Raphael, two annoying guys she'd had the displeasure of growing up with.
The three guys were playing cards and talking between themselves as Ophelia watched curiously.
"Some future husband that."
She heard a voice whisper behind her and just as she jumped and could feel a scream coming on she felt a hand cover her mouth and quickly fling her backwards.
She crashed back down into Eyeball as they both fell backwards onto the floor, looking up at him she groaned and pushed his hand away.
"Fucks sake Eyeball don't do that!" She whispered angrily at him.
"Sorry love, just saying he's some future husband." He whispered back at her as they both pulled themselves up and looked through the window subtly.
"Oh like you'd be any different." She scoffed sarcastically.
He looked at her with a raised eyebrow. "Well for one with me, you wouldn't be this frustrated." He said as his eyes looked her up and down.
She shoved him slightly. "I am not frustrated."
