Ophelia slowly opened her eyes, feeling sunlight beaming straight on her face. She groaned as she sat up and looked around. She'd fallen asleep on her window sill, staring out in the hopes she'd see Eyeball appearing in their spot. Yet all night, he hadn't come.
Hearing a frantic knock at her door she jumped up, just as her mother came flying in. The smile on her face couldn't grow anymore if it tried.
"I know mother." Ophelia mumbled as she walked over to her bed.
Her mother leapt closer to her and grabbed her hands.
"Why are you so upset dear?"
Ophelia shook her head slightly. "Nothing mother, just tired."
"Excitement keep you up?" She questioned.
Ophelia turned and looked at the window. "Something like that." She mumbled as she turned back and faced her mother.
"Well I've ran you a bath so go get yourself all fresh while I sort your dress out."
Ophelia nodded as she walked over and grabbed her robe. She grabbed fresh underwear and headed into the bathroom.
In seconds she was in the bath as she leant back and shut her eyes. Eyeball hadn't shown last night. He hadn't shown this morning. Where was he?
Of course unknown to her Eyeball was currently passed out on Ace's sofa, mouth open and face squashed into the cushion. Charlie half flopped on him.
Nothing but snores filled Ace's houses as all cobras slept peacefully.
Ophelia was soon out of the bath and dressed in her underwear and robe as she went back into her bedroom.
Her mother had laid her dress out neatly on the bed, veil and tiara aside with heels placed neatly on the floor.
Nothing but pure joy and excitement showed on her mother's face as Ophelia forced a smile back and stepped closer.
She sat on the chair by her vanity table and allowed her mother to do her hair. It was brushed and the top half was all soon neatly pinned up as her mother wiped away a tear of pride.
Billy grumbled as he rolled over on the floor and his arm smacked Vince on back. A grumble was heard but no cobras woke.
Ophelia stood and walked over to her bed as her robe came off as she allowed her mother to help her into her dress.
Ophelia turned slowly as her mother softly began pulling the ribbons tighter as she shut her eyes and prayed for a miracle.
Ace mumbled as he shuffled about in his armchair, his leg kicked out and Fuzzy groaned as he rolled over, having just been kicked. Yet no cobras woke.
Ophelia turned to face her mother as she gently lowered herself so her mother could neatly place her veil over her head. Her tiara soon placed neatly on top. Her feet resting comfortably in her heels.
Her mother beamed with happiness as she failed to notice the forced smile on her daughters face. Ophelia turned as she walked over to her window slowly and looked out.
No Eyeball. No cobras.
"Ophelia..." Her mother managed to whisper out.
Ophelia turned slowly to her and gave her mother that forced smile again.
"You look perfect my dear." She mumbled as she gave her another smile and quickly left to go fetch her husband.
Ophelia turned back to the window and looked out. Please. Save me Eyeball Chambers.
Charlie groaned as he felt Eyeball nudge him slightly. He let out a snore as he half snuggled his head further into the sofa. Yet no cobras woke.
"Ophelia Princess..."
Ophelia turned and saw her father standing there, holding her bouquet, a huge smile on his face as tears formed in his eyes.
"My perfect little Princess." He mumbled as he approached her and gently reached a hand up to her cheek.
"Are you ready?" He asked, offering her the flowers.
Ophelia looked down at them and paused.
"Ophelia..." He whispered again.
Her head slowly raised to face him again as he gently took her hand in his and placed the flowers in her grasp.
He turned slightly and offered her his arm as she slowly looped her free hand around it and gently held up the front of her dress. He leant down and gently kissed her cheek as he slowly led her out of the bedroom she had spent her entire life in.
Vince stretched out his arm as an empty beer bottle knocked over. A couple of cobras grumbled slightly as they fidgeted about. The snores continued as no cobras woke.
Ophelia was seated in the back of her fathers car, her dress neatly splayed out over the backseat as he drove with her mother in the passengers side.
Her breathe quickened as her heart began to race. Where was Eyeball? He said he'd save her and she was doing her best to have full faith in him but he was cutting it very close.
Eyeball groaned as he stretched himself out before relaxing instantly, his leg kicked out at Charlie, who was half crushing him. The pair groaned and grumbled as more snores were soon heard. No cobras woke.
Ophelia was standing outside the church doors. One hand holding her bouquet as the other was linked in her fathers arm.
He tried talking to her but she couldn't hear him. Everything was silent to her. She quickly looked around as she saw various people from Castle Rock stood around watching her and admiring her.
Yet she saw no cobras. Not one.
However her eyes did fall on one boy in particular. He was stood with three others but she focused on him. Just as he focused on her.
He gave her a happy smile as she realised he probably had no clue about what his brother meant to her.
Ophelia slowly felt herself lose hope as the doors opened and music filled the church.
Without her father she probably would have been frozen still but she felt him gently begin walking her into the church and down the aisle.
Everyone from The View was standing by their seats as they all beamed at her warmly. Her eyes fell on Xavier standing up front, Kieran and Raphael at his side.
He turned and smiled warmly at her as she was slowly led up to him.
She felt her father take her hand in his before reaching out to Xavier's. He gently placed Ophelia's in Xavier's and slowly stepped back in line.
Xavier smiled down at her as they all heard the doors open again.
Ophelia's head snapped to it as her eyes widened, heart racing, this was it. He was here.
She felt like she'd just been struck by lightning as it was just another guest arriving late.
Slowly she turned and looked down at her hand in Xavier's. Her head looked up at his smiling face as she turned to the vicar, who gestured for everyone to sit.
Eyeball groaned yet again as he kicked Charlie off him before rolling over and draping his arm over his head, grumbling slightly before more snores were heard.
Yet no cobras woke.
