It was a normal morning for Shinobu in school. Three classes done and dusted and it should be lunch break by now

But, today was a special day that everyone looked forward to. There were no afternoon classes anymore

Normally there would be the school's anniversary celebration but since some stuff came up, they decided to cancel and gave free time for the students

Everyone was excited and most bolted out of school to do their desired activities

Many went home, many went with their friends to do stuff, and many went on dates with their partner

Rengoku and Muichiro went home, Uzui and his three girlfriends went on a date, and Mitsuri and Iguro also went on a date

This left the the two. Shinobu looked at Giyu who was going down the stairs and decided to approach him

"Tomioka-san!" Shinobu said, poking his arm to get his attention. Giyu removed his earbuds and turned to her

"Hey Kocho" Giyu said "Do we really have to still be in last name basis, Tomioka-san. We're friends now" Shinobu complained

"We're friends with Rengoku and we don't call him Kyojuro" Giyu argues back "touché" Shinobu says

"So... what will you do this afternoon, Tomioka-san?" Shinobu asks and unexpectedly, Giyu actually had something to do "I'm going to eat somewhere"

Shinobu was surprised. Giyu was actually being decisive this time

"Where will you go?" Shinobu asks, hoping to be able to come with "A restaurant. It's like a 20 minute drive from here" Giyu explains and Shinobu nods

"Do you wanna come with me?" Giyu asks, surprising Shinobu once again. He was being decisive "If you aren't busy of course" Giyu said

"I don't have anything to do. Why not?" Shinobu says as they arrive at the first floor "I'll call a cab" Shinobu said but Giyu shook his head

"I have a car" Shinobu had a surprised look. "You've never used a car before" Shinobu said

"Not really mine, my roommate's" Giyu explained "You have a license?" Giyu shook his head

"Then how will we use your car?" Shinobu asked and Giyu looked at her "By breaking the law" Giyu said

Shinobu looked at him in disbelief before shrugging

"Y'know what? Whatever let's go!" Shinobu said rushing outside. Giyu followed her outside and unlocked the car

"This is a pretty nice car" Shinobu said and Giyu nodded. He opened the passenger car door for Shinobu and went in after

"Why are you going to this restaurant Tomioka-san?" Shinobu asked as he locked his seatbelt "It's sentimental to me" Giyu explained

Shinobu didn't push further because of what he mentioned last night

It was a silent drive to the restaurant with only small conversations here and there.

After what felt like five minutes for Shinobu, they arrived. Shinobu peeked outside and looked at the beaten down cabin with a small rusty sign above the door

Shinobu didn't want to judge the place for its appearance, but it definitely didn't look appealing yet

Shinobu turned around and saw Giyu with a big, wide, genuine smile that she has never seen before

Shinobu smiled just looking at him. It warmed her heart.

"Let's go?" Shinobu's question snapped Giyu out if his trance. Giyu stopped smiling and nodded
