Chapter 5

"I can't believe a whole week passed just like that." Tanjiro sighed. The trio sat on the sofas in their living room.
"I'm. Soooo. Borreeed" Zenitsu complained
"Shut it loser" Inosuke scowled
"Oh I know. Why don't we get to know each other better? We only really know each others names" Tanjiro suggested
"I'm down" Zenitsu replied
"Don't see why not " Inosuke answered
"Great" Tanjiro ran to his room and came back with several small pieces of paper and 3 pens. "Write down any questions you may want to ask and then put them into my hat. We'll take turns picking them out and answering them"
The three of them slaved away writing their questions down before putting them into the hat

"Alright I'll pick the first question." Tanjiro chirped as he reached his hand into the bag. He pulled out a paper and read it
"What are your favourite colours"
"Green" Tanjiro replied
"Blue" Inosuke said
"Yellow" Zenitsu replied
"I'll go next" Zenitsu added
"What are your hobbies?" Zenitsu said
"Well I sing and dance in my free time" Tanjiro replied
"I skate. Self-taught though. Found my board on the streets so I'm not that good"  Inosuke added
"I draw sometimes. I also play the drums" Zenitsu added
"Those are really fun hobbies" Tanjiro beamed
Their game went back and forth for a good few minutes before they eventually got bored again. Tanjiro received a phone call and coincidentally so did Inosuke.
They both went in separate directions to make their phone calls private. Soon enough they both returned and began to speak, only to be interrupted by each other.
"You go first Inosuke" Tanjiro respectfully added
"A friend of mine I met when I applied for this school wants to introduce her roommates to us and vice versa so she's coming over in 30 minutes" Inosuke said
"Oddly enough, my little sister wants to visit me too. She'll be coming in 30 minutes" Tanjiro added
They shifted their vision to Zenitsu who was writhing in his seat.
"D-Did you say women are coming over??" Zenitsu muttered
"Precisely." Tanjiro replied
"WELL WHAT ARE WE DOING STANDING AROUND HERE FOR? COME ON GET CLEANING! WE HAVE BEAUTIFUL WOMEN TO IMPRESS" Zenitsu screamed. Tanjiro chuckled in agreement and Inosuke scoffed.

30 minutes later, they heard a knock on the door. "I'll get it!" Tanjiro chimed, rushing towards the door. He opened it and was greeted by a familiar face.
"Nezuko!" Tanjiro exclaimed, promptly being tackled into a hug by his little sister.
"I missed you Big Bro" Nezuko said smiling at her brother
"Come on in. These are my roommates, Zenitsu and Inosuke."
"Yo" Inosuke signed at Nezuko
"WELCOME TO OUR HUMBLE ABODE! PLEASE TAKE A SEAT. WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE? TEA? WATER? A FOOT MASS-ACH?!" Zenitsu was interrupted by Inosuke chopping the back of his neck, making him tumble to the ground.
"Thank you" Nezuko beamed at Inosuke
"Don't worry about it" Inosuke replied sheepishly. Nezuko turned around to take a seat on the sofa when another knock filled the room.
"I'll get it this time" Inosuke answered

He opened the door to reveal three rather similar looking girls in the door frame. "Hey there Kanao" Inosuke greeted. "Hi Inosuke! These are my roommates, Shinobu and Aoi." The two other girls waved at Inosuke.
"Come in. Those two are my roommates, Kentaro and Monitsu" Inosuke pointed to his roomates," and that girl over there is Kentaro's little sister, Nezuko"
"Why is this one on the floor?" Shinobu asked, crouched down infront of him. At the sound of a female voice, Zenitsu shot up to his feet in an instant.
"WELCOME TO ZENITSU'S PAD! DON'T MIND THE PIGHEAD! HE'S MY PERSONAL BODYGUARD! COME IN AND ENJOY YOURSEL-ACH?!" Zenitsu was interrupted by Nezuko chopping the back of his neck, making him tumble to the ground.
"Thanks" Inosuke said
"Don't worry about it" Nezuko replied
"I like her" Shinobu chimed in. The group walked over to the sofa's. Tanjiro stood up and properly introduced himself "Hi there, my name's Tanjiro Kamado and the guy on the floor is Zenitsu Agatsuma. Inosuke often get our names wrong"
"Nice to meet you Tanjiro" The three guest rang in unison.
"We have arranged a movie to watch. So let's get right to it shall we?" Tanjiro said, waking Zenitsu up.

The group sat on the sofas and switched on the movie. Inosuke sat next to Tanjiro on one couch, the four girls sat on one couch and Zenitsu sat by himself because no one would let him sit with them. Tanjiro and Inosuke shared a blanket and the four girls shared a blanket. Several minutes into the horror movie, Tanjiro and Inosuke decided to make some popcorn together.
"I totally ship those two" Kanao whispered.
"Right? They're perfect for each other" Aoi replied. Their group laughed about it before refocusing on the movie Tanjiro and Inosuke stood infront of the microwave waiting for their popcorn to finish. Tanjiro was standing behind Inosuke and couldn't help but notice his hair looking quite knotted. Instinctively, he ran his fingers through Inosuke's hair, making him jump and turn around
"What are you doing?" Inosuke whispered
"Oh sorry I guess I should've asked first. Your hair was a bit messy and I just acted on instinct. I'm sorry if it made you uncomforta-"
"Do it again" Inosuke interrupted him
"Oh okay." Tanjiro replied
Inosuke bowed his head down and closed his eyes. Tanjiro placed his hand on Inosuke's head. His hair was silky soft, despite being ridden with knots. Tanjiro intertwined strands of hair between his fingers and ran them through Inosuke's hair. The two of them shared a content moment only to be interrupted by the microwave. Inosuke shot up and turned to the microwave.

"I guess he's embarrassed about it" Tanjiro thought to himself," This side of him... It's kinda cute" He thought to himself while smiling at Inosuke. They returned to their seats under the blanket.
"Pass the popcorn?" Nezuko asked.
Tanjiro leant over and passed the bag to his little sister. He placed his hand underneath the blanket only to be met by Inosuke hand underneath his own.
He made to pull it away but Inosuke grabbed his hand. He intertwined their fingers and placed his head onto Tanjiro's shoulder. Tanjiro looked down to see Inosuke's eyes closed.
"He's asleep..." He thought to himself," Well the movies almost over. I'll let him rest" Tanjiro continued his thoughts

After the movie ended, it was time for the guest to part. "Thanks for having us guys. We should hang out more!" Kanao chirped
"Yeah definitely!" Aoi agreed
"I could introduce you guys to my friends as well" Shinobu added.
"Bye guys! See you at school on Monday!" Tanjiro yelled after them, still bound to the couch by Inosuke on his shoulder
"Bye. Hope we can see you again soon Nezuko!" They called as the left the room.
"I better get going too. Mom's waiting for me." Nezuko added
"Tell her and the others I said hi. I miss you guys" Tanjiro replied. Nezuko kissed Tanjiro on the forehead and headed out the door.
Zenitsu had already left for his room so it was just Tanjiro and Inosuke in the living room.
"You really like to cling onto things when you're asleep huh?" Tanjiro giggled, " I guess it's alright." Tanjiro continued. He rested his head on top of Inosuke's head and drifted off to sleep, with Inosuke's hand still in his own...
