CHAPTER TWELVE
WITH THE HELP OF ANOTHER GLADER named Sam, Andie dragged with her a passed out Thomas, pulling him—along side Teresa—towards the maze doors.
Andie looked to her left, stealing a glance at Teresa in John's tight grip, before directing her attention to Sam. The builder had all his attention directed on Gally standing not to far, giving the girl the chance to lean closer to Thomas, whispering in his ear—knowing he was wide awake.
"Don't mistake this for me liking or trusting you."
The boy of course didn't answer, however certainly not surprised by her comment. Yet despite this, he couldn't stop thinking of what he could remember from the time he worked at wicked. The time they worked at wicked.
His memory was still butchered, certain things coming in short pieces making things unclear. But, what was clear however, was that he knew the girl well as a kid. Something he couldn't stop thinking about, and neither get himself to admit to her.
Even if he did though, he didn't feel it would make much of a difference. The girl seemed to have set her mind on how she procedure him. Untrusting, and frankly annoying.
And as Newt said, they weren't the same people that they used to be. It was clear in the way the girl acted around him now compared to how she used to, years ago.
Thomas kept his groans at bay as her and Sam let his lifeless body go, landing him harshly on the ground. He couldn't help but think it was the girl's intention, pushing the though however to the back of his mind. He had other things to think of.
Andie crossed her arms as she stood still, looking to Gally as he stepped closer to the seemingly passed out boy.
"This is such a waste."
