I tried to save her. It was too late. One day earlier... "Help me get these walkers out of here." I told Gillian. "Alright, Amy come help us out." She said. Gillian and Amy helped me pick up walkers and throw them out and over the railing. "I'm gonna go take a break I'll go get someone to help you." Amy said. "Kari, they need some help. You too Ryan." Amy told them. Kari picked up her shotgun and her baseball bat and walked over to me. Ryan took his rifle and waked over to us also. We took dead walkers and pushed them over the railing and they fell onto the main floor of the mall. "I'm glad we've been able to stay out here for so long." "I can't believe a whole month passed by already." Ryan said. "I know right. It's crazy. Nine months." I said. I looked over at Kari. "Hey, how's Kinsey doing?" I asked. "She's doing a little better, she's been talking to Amy a lot lately. They really cheer each other up in the worst situations." Kari said. "That's good." I said. We went to bed that night and woke up early the next day. "So what are we gonna do after we're ready for the road again." Ryan asked. "We let survivors know that someone was here by spray painting on the mall windows and cars. Then we will leave." I said. "Walker." Kari said as she took out her baseball bat. She swung at the walkers head and knocked it to the side. She bent down and flipped it over the railing. "I hate them so much." Kari said. I heard more coming. "Hey, wanna come help me spray paint?" I asked Ryan and Amy. "Ya." Amy said. Ryan nodded and followed me. "There's lots of ways to get in so we're going to the main three ways. The front, the back, and the opposite side we went in. Were going to paint the words, Survivors here, we left for a safer place." I said. Chloe, Kinsey, Haley, and Max came along too, so that we could speed things up. Later on a guy came, he threatened to kill us. "Give me your weapons or else I'll have to get them myself." He said. I didn't know him. He pointed a pistol at us. I shot him in the shoulder and Max walked up to him. "Have you been following us?" He asked. "I just need your food and all your stuff. Please let me have it. With the group you have you won't survive. You're all going to die and your friends and family won't survive and-" Max hit him in the head with the butt of his gun. "Shut up dumb ass." He said as he shot him in the head. "What the heck man, what happened?" I asked. "He was annoying me, that's all." Max said. I heard gunshots in the distance. Immediately Max and I ran to find the others. I saw Jacob and his group. "Chloe!" I shouted as I pointed. Her eyes widened and she reached for her rifle that was not there. We had all left our guns inside. The only thing we had was our pistols and knives. Chloe took out her pistol and shot at them. Hudson pointed his gun at me and then Haley shot him. She got him in the neck and he fell down and bled. I saw Jacob with a gun and he pointed it. He shot and Amy fell down. "Amy!" I yelled as I ran to her. He got her at the side of her neck. "Oh my god, Amy no. No, no, no..." I tried to stop the bleeding but I was too late. It was too late. "It's okay, it's okay, it's okay..." I told her before she passed. She opened her eyes and took another breath again. She turned and was now one of them. I took my gun and pressed the trigger. The bullet went through her head and I closed my eyes and cried. Amy was not with us anymore.
