I was walking Meghan. "You okay now?" Meghan asked. "Eh..." I said. "You still have a whole other group with you. So don't take it out on yourself." She said as she pat my back and walked away. "Remember when you saved my life." Kelly said. "Ya." I told her. "I just realized, I was never able to thank you. So... thank you." She said to me. "Don't mention it Kelly." I said. Then Izzy walked up to me. "Why is it that in this world, we have to live in it." Izzy asked. "We had so much, we didn't realize that we hardly had to work for the things we actually wanted. I don't enjoy it either but this is the type of world we live in now." I said. "You're right... wow. I didn't think that kids could be so selfish to actually think that now... we have to live like this." She said and walked over to talk to Chloe and Kelly. "Hey Ryan." I shouted at him. "Ya." He replied as he walked to me. "We have to keep a good eye on our people. We can't risk losing anyone else. It's too dangerous." I told him. "Ya I know, after Trevin and Amy... I thought you were next when they got you." He said. "Ya, me too... I saw them. The dead. All of them... Brett, Cassie, Michael... all of them." I said in a quiet voice so he only heard me. "I'm sorry man, what did they say?" He asked. "They told me to go with them. To die so I could be saved." I told him. "I told them it isn't time for me to go and that it's not over. Not yet." I took my gun and walked farther to the woods. From a distance I could see the smoke in the sky making it darker. I didn't like to see that what could have been our new home isn't there anymore. We could've had it all, but he took it from us... Jacob took it from us.
