Seven months gone by. Low food, low ammo, limited days. "Ready?" Amy asked. "Ya." Haley said. I took my knife and my gun and we walked into the empty house. We all had our eyes open and our weapons up. We passed by a few more rooms and saw that this house was clear and we could stay for a couple days. I noticed a walker lay on the ground outside struggling to get to us. I looked into a mirror for the first time in about five months and noticed that all of our hair was longer, our clothes were bloodied up, and our souls have become more and more broken but have also grown in strength. After Cassie died we all became somebody we didn't even know. Kelly was a shy girl who didn't usually talk much, now she's become a strong leader. Chloe was a smart girl who had no idea what was ahead of her, after her friends died old Chloe has been gone. The rest of us are all now new people. Caitlyn and Katie still haven't gotten over the fact that Jacob is dead. I don't care about him. Neither should they. It was a long time ago and they need to learn to let go of their past. It's winter now and it's a lot colder than it was in the spring. We needed a place to stay at. We've been traveling for days to look for the perfect place. We used bed sheets and towels to keep warm at night. We also lit the fireplace and all sat by it talking about our family and bringing back memories all destroyed. Our happiness was gone. Haley sat next to me with her hand gun tucked just under her shirt. Amy stood up. "I'm gonna see if I can find a place to sleep I'm exhausted." She said. She picked up her rifle and walked up the stairs. "I think I'm gonna sit outside for a little while... I've always had a thing for the dark." I told the group as I got up and walked out the front door. I took my knife and stuck it into the base of the walkers head. "You're not a very good liar." Jessica said to me. "I did this because I don't like to see people suffer." I told her. "Me either but that's the type of world we live in now so we have to learn to adapt to-" I cut her off. "Will you just shut up!" I told her. "Just shut up..." I said in a lower toned voice as my eyes watered. She walked back inside and Kinsey came out with Matt. "Hey, what was that about?" Kinsey asked. "The new world. I just need some time to be alone and relax." I said to the couple. "Okay, we'll be inside if you need us." Matt said as he walked back inside the house holding Kinsey's hand. I sat there. Hours passed by like nothing. Night watched over everyone and I was still in the exact same place as before. "You gonna come in?" Chloe asked. "Ya... just give me a second." I said. "Alright." Chloe told me as she slipped her gun back into her holster. I later on walked back inside the house. It was dark and a few candles were lit. I walked over to the kitchen and opened the fridge as if my life was normal. Nothing but spoiled food was inside and... a hand. I closed the fridge and went to sleep on the couch. I woke up the next morning and decided to go for a short walk. "I'm gonna be gone for a while so I'll see you guys in maybe an hour or so." I was walking for a long period of time. I then saw a walker. It was missing a hand and looked at me. I walked up to it and stabbed it in the head. I decided to start walking back to the house when I heard a gunshot and I blacked out.
