Minor smut warning
It's been two months since Cole has done anything with Dalton. No dates, no more sharing a room at Cole's apartment on late date nights, and no more cuddling.
Dalton has been busier and busier with his job lately. He alway had to text Cole his excuse for being late home or late for dinner or late for their planned date.
"Karen needs me to stay back for a chat..."
"Karen wants me to help her get ready for her conference with..."
"Karen asked me to prepare a speech for us to do for..."
"Karen called me in to do some late evaluation for..."Karen wants, needs, asked, called. She always need Dalton to do stuff with her, for her. Cole was getting sick of listening to excuses, especially more Karen ones.
There was a knock on the door of Cole's apartment then the sound of a key being jiggled in in key hole.
Cole sat on the couch in front of the tv with his arms folded as he listen to Dalton open the door, take his shoes off and and make his way over.
"Hey babe, you're still up. Why?" Dalton said as he walked up behind Cole and kissed the top of his head.
Cole didn't say anything but he did brush Dalton's kiss of and the huff out a sassy sigh.
"Not talking, are we? are you mad at me or something?" Dalton asked as he put his bag down in one of the other chairs surrounding the tv.
"Am I mad? Well of course but that doesn't matter anyways, I'm use to waiting on you by now." Cole snapped at Dalton with making eye contact with him.
"Waiting? what the heck's that supposed to mean?" Dalton responded sounding offending.
"Wow, you don't even notice but that's cool it's not like I'm the one on your mind anyways." Cole said cooly as if it was no big deal. But it was, this was a huge deal.
"Excuse me, what?" Dalton said, his voice rising in slight irritation.
"I'm just saying that since you been spending so much time with Karen and none with me, I've gotten use to waiting on you." Cole explained with bite in his voice.
"Are you kidding? Is this what this is about? You're jealous of me spending more time at work? That's ridiculous," said Dalton.
"Well I'm glad that you find my problems ridiculous. And no I'm not jealous of you're work. I'm pissed of at you!" Cole exclaimed finally snapping his neck towards Dalton.
Dalton opened his mouth as if to say something but rethought his actions.
"While you have been fucking your boss I've been debating what to make you for dinner so that you don't have to worry about cooking for yourself!" Cole continued.
"Are you crazy? I'm not fucking my boss." Dalton defended.
"Bullshit." Cole scoffed at Dalton. "You've been with her in her house more times in a week than you have been hanging with me in a month."
"You're being irrational and unjustified." Dalton said with out thinking.
"Oh really, why is it that every time I call I either get voice mail or "sorry babe I'm busy helping Karen with blah, blah, blah." Cole questioned angrily.
"Will you please just stop assuming stuff and try to be reasonable." Dalton continued.
"I tried to reasonable Dalton but you couldn't take a single second to even ask how I was." Cole said sadly. "Just be honest Dalton. You're screwing her, right?"
"Why are you being so...so...so Bitchy?" Dalton snapped.
"Because you're too busy FUCKING YOUR BOSS to care about me." Cole yelled while holding his chest.
"You know what, I'm not the only one at fault here. Why don't you take interesting in what I DO everyday?" Dalton retaliated.
"I DO. but when I try YOU always put me to voice mail or cut the conversation short." Cole replied feeling shitty. "You know what Dalton why do you even keep wasting your time coming back to me instead of staying with your boss?"
"I'm not fucking my boss and I come back for YOU. YOU IDIOT!" Dalton yelled.
"Why? It's obvious that you value her more than me so why? WHY DO ThIS?" Cole screamed as if he was about to cry. The tears already daring to run over his eye lids.
"BECAUSE I LOVE YOU, DAMNIT!" Dalton yelled.
