Who's my new bae?

Cole always hated working.

Firstly he worked a coffee shop/hipster restaurant , which mean teen girls gossiping. Secondly his parents owned the shop so he had no choice. And last but certainly the most annoying, his parents always hired people that he thought he'd "hit it off with".

It was so annoying and kind of awkward. Especially being that they hired so many girls that he had no interest in what so ever. When the hired an even remotely cute guy and he started flirting, they got a little shaken by the boy's sexual orientation.

Then it just got ridiculous. Boy after boy and some girls just because it might "change his mind". None of the guys were even what Cole was looking for anyways. And some just didn't get that he didn't like them.

"Working" became a giant chore. He actually started a list of things to cut the ties between people first thing.

1. Sorry, no.

2. I came to work, not hook up.

3. I'm not ready for anything yet. ( for the nice ones)

4. Sorry, I'm not good for you.

5. I'm just too busy, it wouldn't work.

6. I can't be with you, I'd get jealous. ( the really hot guys that could get anyone)

7. I don't think we're right for each other.

8. I don't date.

9. I'm focusing on my school work.

10. No! you're not my type (for the creeps)

They seemed to work well. Right now, his parents were slightly under staffed so that meant they be looking some more.

Let the bae hunt begin.

His parents went through more guys than a line up for food at a sports event. Guy after guy and the occasional nice girl just looking for a job.

His parents didn't get it though, Cole wouldn't date anyone the picked for him. 1) He was here to work on start worrying about he looked. 2) Mommy and Daddy's pick is always someone mommy and daddy like not Coley.

Cole did find it a little fun to peer over at some of the job seekers and try to mess with things a little. Some of the guys weren't that bad but his parents thought otherwise so Cole acted friendly and the unemployed did the rest.

His parents always wanted to see him happy so seeing him flirt with their last pick made things interesting.

He finally stopped and got back to doing his job.

He glanced over at the table where his parents were having open interviews. They were talking to a slightly tall, seemingly slim, blonde boy.

Blonde, cute but I'm not gonna go there, he's probably a kiss up, Cole thought as he turned towards the customer waiting for their order.

He handed the customer their change and turned to talk to Miamrie (Mai for short) and caught the blonde boy looking at him.

Cole felt a bit awkward and jumpy about it but just kept talking to Mai.

"So, Mr. Rapattoni why do you think you're fit for your business?" asked Mrs. Pendery to the sixteen year old blonde boy standing in front of her. He was obviously too nervous to sit.

"Well, Mister and Misses Pendery, I have tons of experience in the restaurant and cuisine fields. I'm good with serving and delivery, if needed. I also think that I'm..." the blonde boy, Dalton Rapattoni trailed off as he set his eyes on a particular brunette boy, working behind the counter.

Dalton began to think of how awesome it would be to get to work next to him everyday.

It made him even more nervous about the interview now than he was before.

"Um...Mr. Rapattoni, you were saying?" said Cole's mother brightly, looking over Dalton's resume. She noticed that he had been eyeing her son.

"I was um just observing one of your workers, looking at how he did his job. I'm just trying to understand how you like to run your store and what better way than to observe, right?" Dalton construed answer for Mrs. Pendery's question.

"Ah... I believe you were looking at Cole, our son. Yes, he is a very good worker. He actually trains our new employees." Explained Mr. Pendery, watching Cole from his seat but still glancing at the face of the blonde boy in front if him.

"Cole, honey! Can you come over here a sec?" Cole's mother beckoned for her child.

"Okay, just hold on," replied Cole as he moved out from behind the counter. "Whatcha need?"

"I just wanted you to see one of the candidates for the open spot in the cafe." His mom explained.

"Hi, nice to meet you I'm Cole." Cole politely said shaking Dalton's hand. He had to admit Dalton was very handsome and his arms were extremely muscular.

"I'm Dalton. It's nice to meet you too." Dalton replied. "Are you the barista? or do all the workers just like rotate jobs?"

"We basically have a schedule, which tells us what job we'll be doing for the week then it changes each week, so basically it rotates, yeah." Cole answered.

While he and Dalton chatted, Cole parents chatted about them.

"Did you see him looking at Cole, it was kind of cute?" his mom asked with a grin on her face. "I like this one, we should hire him."

"I don't know, the way he was looking at him just......I don't know, I don't think we should jump to conclusions yet." his father protested making a very invalid point.

"Well, I wouldn't say it was like eye rape or anything, he seems smitten not creepy." His mother said proving her point.

His dad was going to object but then he and his wife heard a very adorable burst of laughter come from Cole's mouth.

Dalton had made a very simple yet cleverly put joke because he felt awkward and Cole actually laughed at it. His laugh was so cute too.

"Cole, can you begin busting the tables, please?" his mom asked.

"Okay," Cole said.

"Okay, Mr. Rapattoni we've decided to give you the job." Cole's mom said right after Cole was out of range.

"Oh, thank you, so much, Mr. and Mrs. Pendery," said Dalton with a little smile on his face.

Just then Cole was bringing the dishes back to the kitchen and tripped over some lady's purse, causing him to spill some food and drinks on himself.

Cole stopped at his parent table last to collect their dishes. He put the plates down and slip of this T-shirt into a black tank top.

"Cole!" his mom whisper yelled. "You can't just take your shirt of in the middle of the restaurant. This is a place for dinning not a strip club."

"Mom, the shirt is doused in water and other various liquids. Do you want me to where that and look sloppy while serving food or would you rather me break the dress-code just for today and still look somewhat presentable?" Cole inquired.

Dalton was still just stand there, listening to their conversation. He was also mesmerized by Cole's arms in the tank top. Holy shit!

"Fine," said his mom "by the way, meet your newest co-worker. We decide to give Dalton the job can you quickly just give him a little tour and you'll be training him for the next couple days."

"Really...okay then...um just follow me." Cole said not sound too enthused about Dalton working there.

Sure, he was cute and funny but probably a kiss ass and there's got be something else about him that makes him just like the rest.
